To each his own......
But.....
My husband went there about 14 years ago and hated it. I've always wanted to go because I just love Space and everything associated with it (NASA TV). He said even I would be bored....
Well, we just finished our cruise 4/24 Wonder with 60+ people. Half of our group went over to Kennedy Space Center. Not One said they enjoyed it. They were very disappointed. They all said it was a big waste of time and money.
One in our party spent over $250 in admission and other activities (not counting food!). It was expensive, you do not get up close to the space shuttle at all and it was a very long uneventful bus ride around.
There was a weightlessness attraction that you could only do if you were between, I think, 80 and 160 pounds. They all said that was a big waste of money. One mom said she felt like a toddler in that swing that you hang from your doorway.
I have never been there, I am just repeating what people in my party had stated. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who liked it, but I just want to let you know the other half. One guy in the group who was very gung-ho about going berated my husband afterwards, why didn't you tell me?
But he didn't want to ruin it for him on the chance he might have liked it.
One Super Cool thing: While we were down there, we were able to witness, from our condo in Kissimmee, the last Triton Rocket to blast off into space! I got the whole thing on video, it was a most awesome sight!!!!!
Generally, when we are finished with our Disney Vacation, we stroll around the Disney Marketplace, take a look around at the other resorts. This trip because we didn't have to check in until 5:00 we drove over to Lake Wales and checked out for ourselves the phenomena at Spook Hill. At first my husband was pissed he drove 40 minutes into the middle of nowhere, but after experiencing it for himself, he came to the conclusion it was pretty cool and freaky

Then we did the resort/shopping thing..
Have fun no matter what you do
