So.....after years of chasing fireworks through conventional technique, I decided to mix it up a little at the fireworks display I saw last week.

These are all taken with the 70 - 200 mm lens, no ND filter and hand-held.
I use the same settings I would for the conventional firework shots ie. ISO 100, f/9, 4'ish secs.
I chased the fireworks heading up from the launching pad and hoped to capture the core when they exploded out.













For most of the shots, I also played with the focus ring at the same time to get the focus/unfocussed effect.
