Okay! So, what/ who sparked everyone's love for Disney World. Mine was my mom. She used to put on the CD's Disney sold in the parks of the ride music, parade music, and movie songs. Plus always taking us there helped out too.

Visiting my son while he did the college program several years ago. We've bought a vacation home in the area now and spend about half the year in Florida now as well.

My parents never liked to travel far away. They didn't like the beach (must be an Italian thing, although I love it) and my mom never liked flying.

My grandma moved down to Florida many years ago, so when they'd visit her, they'd bring my sister and soon me to Disney World. My sister LOVED Disney - she loved the characters and still gets giddy to meet them (she's 30!)

My parents always brought us to Disney. We'd go at least once every four years. We used to drive down from NY. We'd leave early in the morning or at night and drive 20+ hours. I loved every second of it - stopping on the road to eat was a novelty. I loved getting into Florida and thinking we were there but having two more hours to drive and REALLY loved finally getting to Disney.

Now we're older. Would I like to travel to Italy and Germany etc.? Sure, but I'd much rather travel to Disney! My dad got sick back in 2008 with cancer. After he finished, he just wanted to go to Disney World. He wanted to go for Christmas. I was in college, my sister teaches high school and my mom had the time to take off, so we started going. At first, we missed the idea of decorating for Christmas and spending it with family. Now? We couldn't think of spending Christmas anywhere else. In fact, we skipped in 2011 and Christmas just wasn't the same!.. So now we go once a year!

Probably my first Disneyland visit and seeing my first Disney movie on the big screen cemented my life long love for Disney. Both events took place in 1967. We moved to California and visited Disneyland and my parents took me to see the reissue of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I was 7 years old and I absolutely fell in Disney love!

My first onsite stay. I had been a few times as a kid starting in 1976 but we always stayed offsite. It was fun but it didn't really have that Disney feel to it. The first trip with my wife and first kid (DS7) we stayed at the All Star Sports resort and I was hooked. Not having to get in the car until we were leaving to go home was heaven. We have been going ever since. We have another kid and have tried other resorts and still love it.

My dad was into Disney (before the parks) and got me into reading his collection of old Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge comics from the 50s (and the brilliant writer/artist Carl Barks who created Uncle Scrooge (and his filthy rich, adventuring character like you've seen in Duck Tales) ...

That and all the old "Magical World of Disney" shows on TV (before the VHS) to see all old classic movies and shows.

We went to the parks several times as a kid .. I went in the 70s .. I was there in the 80s shortly after Epcot opened .. back again as a teenager in the late 80s when MGM opened .. and hooked ever since ..

And now hooked again with a little boy of my own ..

Our first trip to Disney World when I was 13 cemented it pretty much. I also always enjoyed Disney movies--all of my friends in high school were into Disney as well.

I've always loved Disney movies. After I had a kid I wanted to take her to Disney World. I knew the trip would be great, but I had NO idea how magical it would be. Before our first trip, I thought we'd probably go just once or twice in our lives. However, the very first time I saw Wishes I was hooked.

Taking our DD to Disneyland for the first time. And having the most amazing vacation...just the 3 of us. Magical. I thought we'd take her 2-3 times in her childhood. Now I can't imagine not going to someplace Disney at least every 2 years!

We've lived the same life lol, except I now continue the magic with my wife, daughter and grandkids. Thanks dad for getting it all started!

Definitely my parents... they went to Disney World for their honeymoon and have been back almost every year since with me and my siblings. Plus I was born in '88 right before some of the best films (Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story all came out between '89 and '95) so I watched them constantly!

Every summer, my Grandparents picked us up to get us out of a bad household and let us live with them until school started again(they eventually adopted us). They took us to Disney a lot and always stayed in the Contemporary. It became the place I associated with their safe home. When I go now as an adult, it is very nostalgic for me.

My high school went for senior trip; I thought it was corny and didn't want to go. I went anyway, and thought it was so magical- I had so much fun. There is something for everyone. I went back on a family trip and it was even better than I remembered! Now, I am hoping our upcoming trip will have the same effect on my husband and daughter...so I can go more!

My Great Grandparents went to Disney on their honeymoon. I have always loved looking at picture albums for as long as I can remember and I used to especially love looking at their honeymoon pictures. I guess I asked about it so much they decided to take me to Disney for the first time when I was three. I know people say it's a waste to take your kids that young because "they will never remember it" but I'm in my 30's and I do have memories of that first trip. Between going so young and growing up watching pretty much nothing but Disney movies and the Disney Channel (back when there was only one Disney Channel and it cost extra money like HBO does now lol) that pretty much created a lifelong fan.

Went for the first time at age 15 with a school trip. Just remember thinking I'd work there some day. Did the WDWCP as a freshman. Decided to take our honeymoon there, got DH hooked...go on our 17th trip together in 15 yrs in two weeks (not counting 2 DL trips). Now have DD7 hooked. She always says, "this smells like/sounds like/reminds me of (insert something about a specific locale at WDW here)" at least once a day.

Watching all the movies and Sunday night Disney programs when I was young got me started.

When I was older there was one moment that really ignited the passion.

We were riding POTC and we came to the scene with the pirate ship and fort battling it out. We were looking around, enjoying the ride, when a blast of air from the air cannon shot right across our faces. In that split second, it was like whoa, we almost got hit by that cannonball! So the fact that Disney, just for a moment, could make me feel like I was really in the middle of a pirate battle, that did it for me.

I grew up in the 80s and 90s, and I was a major Disney kid. When The Little Mermaid came out I had a lunch box and pants. Awesome, amazing, Ariel pants (God bless you, 1989, for giving a 7 year old Ariel pants). My grandmother got me a Disney movie for every birthday and Christmas and read my dad's old ratty original copy of Winnie-the-Pooh to me every time we were together. Disney was my entire childhood (my entire childhood that didn't revolve around Barbie dolls and NKOTB). I went to WDW for the first time in college when I was 19, and it was just like stepping into the world of my childhood. Now I can't stand to be away.

Seeing the excitement in my kids' eyes during their first parade in MK. I literally cried. Before this, I actually disliked the whole idea of Disney! :confused3 5 trips later, I'm completely hooked and we can't wait to get back!

My mom always fostered the Disney gene, but I never REALLY became a Disneyholic until DH and I had our honeymoon at WDW :lovestruc
We've been obsessed with vacationing Disney since :)
We are WDW people for sure, but also enjoy DCL. Though, I would not complain if we could go to DL
Our goal is to visit all the Disneylands in the world :)

So, Disney has always been there, but we didn't really get into it until we could visit the magic

Watching Wonderful World of Color every Sunday night as a kid and then when I was 21 I moved to Los Angeles and starting going to DisneyLand. Later, I moved back to Texas, met my future husband (who maybe loves Disney more than me, if possible) and we started going to Disney World. Once we had kids, we loved watching all the movies with them over and over and then moved to New Jersey and we take our kids to WDW. They have loved it since the moment they first entered the gates, are now 17 and 19 and love it as much as husband and I. In fact, when my daughter finishes nursing school in 2 or 3 years all of us will be moving to Orlando, as close to WDW as we can get. We have been a few times in August and I grew up in Texas (husband was there for graduate school near Houston) so we are fine with hot and humid. Daughter and I have started looking online at houses near Disney. My husband teaches distance learning classes online and I have an etsy store so we can do all that just as easy in Florida as NJ and what can I say, daughter will be a nurse so "should" be able to find a job lol. My son wants to work at Disney.
