What if?

Hi All!
Still new here... We just booked our very first villa stay for late May in an Animal Kingdom Villa (Kidani?) savannah view 2 bedroom (we are kidnapping my parents this trip.) What would happen if they do not get these villas finished in time? Our reservation is now confirmed soo, I'm just wondering what if?? Any idea what would happen to our points/reservation?

What if?
Worst case scenario, they give you all your points back (to reuse for another trip), but you have no room to stay in.
more likely in a worst case scenario: You get moved to some other accomodations, with a possible small points refund
Most likely, the rooms (They are allowing reservations for) will be done, I'd just be slightly worried that the public areas like the new restaurant or pool may not be completed..
Remember they are opening Kidani in phases, so it is not like they have to have 100% of Kidani rooms open in May to accomodate all guests.

I've heard 1/2 mile distance.
I am guessing you could take any park bus.

I would not worry. If Disney says May 1 that means it is really estimating completion of Phase I at least 2 months before that and thus has built in time for delay. Distance from front door of Kidani to front door of Jambo is little over 1/2 mile. Tale end of south wing of Kidani building is a lot closer to Jambo entrance (possibly less than 300 feet). Question is whether they will have any Kidani exits onto the road side that are nearer Jambo (they cannot have any exits elsewhere because it is all savanna) which could make the walk short if staying in that part of the Kidani building.

From what I have heard, they are well ahead of schedule so I wouldn't worry about it.

Any chance they might be done before 2008 ends? I really don't think they would, but thought I would ask. We were at AKV Sept 3 and it wasn't near done yet.

I really don't think so. There is still quite a lot to do, from what I've seen.
