The last 2 years we had free dining, but this year we are going Aug18-24 and will miss it:sad1: But what if we have credits left, I know for the snack credits we can bging home cookies but what about table or counter credits. since we piad for it can they convert it into some other credit, or are we out the money?

As for CS credits, we always go to the food court or CS restaurant at the resort and get stuff to take on the plane or home. They always have some type of dessert that is easy to take home (rice krispy treats, etc.)

Last year they did offer people the opportunity to swap credits but there is no guarantee that they will do it again. Your best bet is to always schedule an extra TS or two and cancel ones that you won't be using so not to lose those credits. Some people have reported in the past using TS credits for CS meals but this isn't policy and don't count on being able to do it.

Our last day we invited a family of three to join us at Chef Mickey's. The server took our last 6 TS credits off our card and we "bought" lunch for another family... I wasn't sure it would work, but we started talking to them while we were waiting to be seated... told the hostesss we were "together" but had seperae reservations... and the server never asked, I just handed her my card and told her we were all onthe dining plan.... :thumbsup2

Might not always be that easy, though.... ;)

Last Sep we had extra TS credits and were able to trade those in for a lanyard and 2 pins.

No word yet on whether there will be a snack-lanyard-and-pins exchange offered during free dining. If Disney is true-to-their-word, and reduce the availability of free dining this year, then there probably won't be such an offer this year.

For TS meals, you really do need to plan ahead to use all your credits, or simply plan to forfeit them. I figure just planning on doing a TS breakfast they day you leave is enough to ensure you'll use up any remaining TS credits.

For CS, as folks have indicated, some of the CS locations, especially the hotel sundry shops that accept CS credits, have more portable options, which you can use for your trip home (just don't bother trying to bring drinks...)

For snacks, they should be easy to use up -- there are many places that offer portable snacks you can take with you on your way home.
