Forgive me for this thread, which is nothing more than a moment of reflection on my part on what our lives, our vacations and our families would be like if Mr. Walt Disney was never born.
But it merits thought, doesn't it? This man - one man - revolutionalized what family entertainment and vacations are all about. Just consider if he didn't ever exist... seriously.
No Disneyland. No DisneyWorld. Heck, no 'mouse' to begin with.
All the world loves Mickey. My fondest memories of a childhood 35 years gone by are of Disneyland. Pirates of the Caribbean was REAL when I was 9. It was real once again when I was 35 and my son was 9. Same thing for the Haunted House. Absolutely magical entertainment...
Then came DisneyWorld Florida, and Disney Cruise Lines. All the joy and wonderment came back again and brought immeasurable joy to my family.
Disney has just been such a magical part of us, I can't imagine life without it!!!
Am I the only one who sees Walt Disney as truly THAT important in the quality of our families lives??
