What if there aren't auditions in your area?

Hey all! What's up? This is my first post :wizard: And I'm pretty excited about it.

I'm about to graduate college, and am an actor here in NYC, and was wondering if there were any alternative options for auditioning if there isn't one scheduled in your area?

Hope to talk to you all soon! Thanks!

Welcome to the boards! Are you interested in being FT or a CP? What type of work do you want?

There was an audition in NY on March 7th; since that date has obviously passed that does you no good now. For the vast majority of the roles, you MUST physically attend an audition. So look at the schedule and book a flight to somewhere else.

However, there are some roles that you can send in a tape... however, Disney just changed their auditions website so I can't find that list anymore. I do remember stunt driver used to be one... and maybe musician.

I would go to disneyauditions.com for more information. There are separate auditions depending on the resort you audition for, and the process therefore varies based on that as well.

GOOD LUCK!

If you are applying for a CP, and are unable to travel to another audition location, my suggestion would be to apply for a normal length program, and then attend the end-of-season auditions towards the end of your program. If you successfully pass the audition, you can then extend through another program. This works really well if you want to do Spring, and then extend into the summer, if you're not looking for a major time commitment (like fall into spring).

If you're looking for a FT/PT/Seasonal role, auditions are held every Thursday at Disney's Animal Kingdom Wardrobe...like they said, check out disneyauditions.com. Break a leg!
