So I have a FP for Test Track on March 31st, 9-10 a.m. and if it is down during that time I can just use the FP at any other time for TT, right? Or I can use it for a different ride at any other time? Advice?

You will get a anytime fp. Which I believe in Epcot can be used on anything.. maybe not frozen tho.

With all fp, if the ride is down during your window and you haven’t used it yet, it converts to an anytime fp. At parks with tiers, if it’s a tier 2 fp it can be used on only tier 2 rides. Tier 1 can be used anywhere. At MK, there are no tiers but PP, 7DMT, and I think m&g with Mickey are excluded unless that’s what your fp was for.

are anytime FP able to be used on FoP? I feel like the answer is no.....

As in....if our TT FP are not usable because of rain or whatever, and it converts to an anytime FP, and we were hopping to AK, could I use it on FoP?

No, not typically. Once it coverts to an anytime fastpass you can click on it in MDE and it will tell you what limitations there are.

It's not "what if" it's "what happens when" it's down
Haha
I haven't actually seen it be down but according to anyone I've ever talked to from these forums, TT is ALWAYS down lol

I know when I got an anytime fp for splash being closed the anytime fp was specifically an mk anytime fp so I could only use it on rides at mk. Not sure if that’s the case at Epcot as well.

The one thing to be careful with and a whole group of people had an issue when I was in MK last week, if you tap into fp at another ride even if you have a valid fp for that ride during that time it may accidentally take your anytime fastpass instead. So when you’re checking into another ride, it’s worth double checking with the attendant when you scan in that it’s taking the right one. MDE happened to be very glitchy that day.

Since you brought up Splash, we had an interesting experience with Splash on our last trip, it didn't close down, but it was very cold, so the wait was 5 minutes and the system automatically changed the FPs we had for Splash to anytime FPs. We had this happen with a couple other rides as well, so always check your app before even getting in line to see if something has been changed to an anytime FP and look to see what the reason may be. I honestly had never heard of this happening just because the wait time wasn't long enough to justify a FP before and no, Splash and the other rides hadn't shut down at all during our return times or even before them.

you can do either. You will get an any time FP for TT or you will be given an any time FP for a number of rides ( I think FEA is one that is out) I would be very careful not to go to any of your other FP early as it will take your any time FP away

But if you arrive within the hour window you are good? I'm assuming 5 minutes early or 15 minutes late, even within the FP grace system, pulls your anytime FP?

No, they are park specific. If TT goes down, you will be issues a "multiple experience" FP+ for any ride in EP except FEA.

Yes the FP window should work but Disney time might be different than your time so I would be very careful on tapping in for your FP

Unless the ride goes down at night.

If TT goes down during the day then it'll be ride specific to Epcot.

If TT goes down at night then the anytime FP will be good for the rest of the night at Epcot and then good for the entire next day at any park, but restrictions will be there for the top rides

For an anytime FP to be able to be used on FoP it would depend on what ride went down. I'm not for sure which, if any, rides would count but I'd imagine it would only happen with FoP obviously, NRJ, and maybe Slinky dog.

If a ride goes down during the day then the anytime FP is only good for that park and usually with some restrictions. Like if Pirates goes down you won't be able to use the anytime on 7dmt.

However if a ride goes down at night then the anytime will be good for the remainder of the night at that park, and also good for the entire following day at and park.. With restrictions. So if TT goes down at night then the following day you can use the anytime on everything except for basically FoP, Navi River, 7dmt, Illuminations, River of Lights, Slinky Dog, Fantasmic, and Allen Saucers.. For example

To be specific here, since "at night" is a bit broad. It won't be just anytime during dark hours, for instance. There is a time frame limit for the FP to convert to a FP valid for the next day too. My experience personally has been only FP scheduled during the final hour of park operation would convert to FP valid for the next day at any park

Well, to be fair, TT is one of the few rides that goes down for even regular old rain (not just bad storms) so yeah, it does go down more than typical and more than just mechanical reasons

No, even if they were in the same park, only a FP that was originally for FoP works for FoP with any certainty.
We have had 1 other anytime FP work for FoP.
We had a FP for GMR when it was announced that it was closing. They converted our FP to an anytime FP, valid for like a 2 month period and it was valid for any ride on property, including FoP/Navi. That has been the only one I've ever gotten that worked on those 2 rides.

I think it depends. In October, FOP was down during our window so we received an anytime FP for that. We were able to use it for anything in WDW except Alien Swirling Saucers, Frozen Ever After, Na'vi River Journey, Rivers of Light, & Slinky Dog Dash (and had an extra whole day to use it). The next day when RNRC was down during our window we were only allowed to use it in HS (but not on any of the TSL rides) and it was only valid until the end of that day. Both rides came back online while we were still in the park, so we used the FPs as they were originally intended.

Learn more and more everyday on these boards. Mine is for the morning time, so I think it will be used at some point for TT if it goes down there. Thanks so much for the info.

Good to know. I've never had a FP for FoP and had it go down during that time. I guess since it's such a HUGE deal for it to go down they go over and above for that replacement FP. That is an anomaly and not like any other FP, that's for sure.
