okay lets say Disney has completely Pop - which they might start on in Oct.

so now they are ready to put suites in the thing.

they decide to put suites in both section - say 20's in the legendary, and 50's in the classic

so if you really love 50's and they make it all suites - would you continue to stay there despite it costing more?

If we have someone else joining us then yes, we would. We love Pop since we stayed the first time last year.

We're trying to plan for October 2008 and inviting my mom to come along. The only value with a suite option right now is ASMu and from what I was told, it would be cheaper to book a suite than booking two separate rooms. But all three All Star resorts are a little more (at least as far as tax goes) than Pop. But I absolutely love the theme for Pop, especially the memories of my childhood.

Wow, I've never expereinced this! We booked Pop in January, and ASmu in Sept... and both were the exact same amount on my confirmation :confused3 Is this really true?

I think if they were to add, it would be along the same lines of what they did over at ASmu: each building would have a couple family suites and a couple standard rooms. Based on ASmu, I would expect (if Pop does this) to see FS mostly in the 60s and a couple in the 70s and 50s.

Personally, no... paying "extra" for a room just to be in the 50s is not something were interested in, nor would we do. These rooms are identical on the inside, so why bother? I'll just book a standard room, request 60s section, and use the 50s pool/grounds area when needed.

Would I book a Family Suite at Pop? Absolutely.

I do think that it would be more financially smart (for Pop) if they built the family suites on the Legendary side of the lake. Why mess with the rooms that are already completed? ASMusic didn't have the room to expand with new buildings, but Pop does.

I hope that they do finish that side of the lake. It will take the eeriness out of staying at Pop and looking at all of the unfinished buildings.

Would definately book a family suite at POP. I love the 50s but I wouldnt pay more for the suite unless we needed it on that vacation. As a PP said it's no problem to get a room in the 60s and walk out and use the bowling pin pool or enjoy the 50's icons.

The way I have understood it the cost to stay in a family suite is more for a family of 5 than it is to stay at POR. I love the value resorts. If I can stay Mod for less money that is where I will be.:goodvibes

While I prefer the 80s buildings, if suites were to go in there, I'd just move over to the 70s or the 90s. If they made all of Pop Century into suites, I'd go to the All Stars. We're just two adults and don't need a suite. I'd leave those for families that do need them.

We are only a family of 3 at the most so we don't need more room so booking a suite for us would not be something we would do anyway but NO I wouldn't pay more money for it if I did happen to book a suite just because it was in a certain area of a resort.
