One of the students travelling with my daughter's class trip will not have a credit card authorization signed by his parents - they refuse to do that and are sending him with cash and insist that they will take the cash on board. Has anyone dealt with this before? The chaperone for the boy is not inclined to give the boy authorization to charge on his credit card and hope that the parents reimburse him. HELP!

The cash they give the child can be applied to the child kttw once you get on board.

:confused3 smart parents !!!!will help there son/daughter spending.
I brought cash on our last trip and it worked out just fine.
You have a 400$limit on your key to the world card and once you max that they send you a little letter to your state room. You must then go down to guest services and pay your debt....

When you check in, you tell the CM that the KTTW will have cash applied to it, and once you get onboard you go to Guest Services and have them apply the cash.

Now, the catch is, if the child exceeds the amount of cash on his KTTW, I think DCL will continue to charge against his card .. and expect someone to settle the account before getting off the ship.

So someone will need to monitor the stateroom account to ensure he does not exceed the amount of cash he has on his KTTW card -- if he does, you would need to go down to Guest Services and have his charging privileges suspended immediately.
