What if maximum capacity?

I go to DL once a year, and always try to avoid high-peak times. However, I'm visiting in mid-June, and have a question: If DL were to reach maximum capacity while I was taking a break at a DLR hotel, would I be able to get back into the park, even with a hand stamp?

I imagine that with summer + school getting out + 60th anniv., I'll be there during a very crowded time...

I doubt it will reach capacity any days in June. However if it did, they go in stages for people that they will not allow access to the parks. People with hand stamps and hotel guests are the last groups that would be cut out. Someone else could probably give a lot more specifics about the procedures they follow. Even during super high capacity days, the gates dont remain closed very long.

I wouldn't worry about it. We go almost every July. We park hop & leave the park to eat off site & never have had a problem re-entering. Max capacity usually happens when there's a special event or holiday. Like the 60th Anniversary or New Years etc. You will be fine in June.

FWIW- they aren't giving hand stamps anymore, unless you have a 1 day park hopper. Otherwise your ticket lets them know you have visited already- and your picture is associated with the ticket.

I am not sure of their re-entry policy when at capacity, though.

About time! Hand stamping was a ridiculous policy once they had the system linking your photo to your ticket in place.
