If we get into the line with our paid Tron LL, then a kid chickens out, can you get refunded, or is there a way for another guest in our party to use it? Thinking if the kid in question scans in, but then decides not to ride at the load area.
Thanks!

If they scan in you are going to have a hard time convincing guest relations they didn't use it but you can try. Definitely nobody else can use it because the used it when they scanned in.

Hopefully they'll chicken out before hand, then maybe guest relations will refund. No guarantees.

The Official Disney line is that the LL are not refundable or transferable. If your child does not actually tap in to the LL then Guest Services, a Guest Experience Team (GET) CM or even using the Chat feature in MDE should be able to refund this LLSP.

That is going to be up to the CMs at the load platform. Your child will not be forced to ride but may exit though the "Chicken" exit. As to if another member of your party gets to make a second ride, (sort of a modified) rider swap that is a maybe.

Thanks. Pretty much what I thought. We'll try to have the kiddo watch some videos first, and watch from under the canopy before we scan in, to give options either before we buy it in the first place, or before we scan in.

I guess if there is a last minute bailout, they would give one adult a chance to wait with her and then ride (Sort of rider swappish). I'd be more understanding tossing out the cost for the child, but don't want to waste 2 paid LLs if the extra adult has to exit with the child.

I think you're aware of this from your answer but, you won't be able to wait until the day of your visit to purchase LLSP. LLSP for Tron is currently sold out for the next 6 days with the exception of very late return times 5 days from now.

Oh, yes-- the trip is later this summer. But yeah, that's why I'm asking, because the $21 or however much is probably going to be spent-- so it'll be a matter of if the kid rides, or we take turns. :)

sorry to jump in on this thread with this question, but am I reading correctly that LLSP can be booked in advance?
I thought that was just for LLMP ? and that LLSP was day of only??

LLSP can be booked on the same day at the same time as LLMP and LLPP.

If the kid bails, they're going to make one adult go with her. Disney will not let the kid go out the exit alone.

As long as the child is age 7 or older they can exit alone. Whether the family will allow it is the parents’ decision but WDW will allow it.

OP, you should be able to Rider Swap at boarding if necessary.
