DS and I are coming down together to camp for 8 nights. DH may join us on the 3rd nite and stay for 3 nites. I want to get the dining plan for DS and I for the entire stay. We do not need tickets for DH and plan to pay out of pocket for his meals.
How do we handle his stay at the campground?

I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but if your DH isn't going to the park, or isn't going to use early entry, I wouldn't register him and just have him sleep at the site. The only problem might come is if he will be bringing an extra car. You can't have two cars at the campsite and if he isn't a registered guest he might not be able to park in the front parking lot.

If you are staying in the trailers, I believe you can just add him as an extra person for the days he is there, but not to the package. We have done this in the past at both the trailers and at ASM and the Poly. Book the package for you and your son. When Hubby arrives just add him as an extra person in your room, but not your package. The CM's were really helpful everytime we have done this.

If you are camping (tent, Motorhome, etc) I think you can do the same thing.

We have done this several times when my inlaws came over for a night or two. They went to parks with us and watched the kids at night, when we went to dinner alone :cloud9: We paid for extra adults in room only. They had Florida resident passes.

Good luck!

You can still register him as a guest. He will get a room key for EMH if needed and you just request an additional parking pass. Is is that everyone that is registered have to have the dining plan? I always stay without hubby, but he is always on the reservations. He may come down for a quick weekend visit and just park at the site and I always have my car parked in the overflow site, so he does not get the extra parking pass. How old is your son? I think anyone over the age of 18 requires an additional fee, although it is a small fee, after the first 2 adults.

You all have given me good news and good advice! DS is only 8, so the extra adult is not an issue. I'll just register DH when he arrives and use the overflow parking lot.
Thanks so much! :grouphug:

We (DH & me) are going December 3 - 16 -- total of 13 days. DS and DDIL are going to join us for some of that time, probably 6 days. If DH and I get the dining plan and we add DS and DDIL when they arrive, can we just share the dining credits with them. I was not going to get the plan because I did not want to eat out every day, but if we can all share the credits, then I will add the plan to our package.

Look for Hollie the Yorkie, hopefully in Loop 800 or 900. She is quite the princess and social butterfly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can share the plan. This is what wwe did in 2004. DD and her family were in a cabin. Did the package with dining for 4 adults and one child. They brought DSS (17) and added him when they checked in. Just got his park hopper and did not have to add dining. Six of us stayed in our tent at 1 site. 5 adults and one child with the whole plan. In laws stayed at the Swan without dining but went to lunch and dinner with us every night. When we wanted to order off the kids menu for the little one we payed oop for him. DS 17 only ate CS food so my in laws also used his table credits. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
