about this site.

just for the record, i never saw this site being essential to our
disney trips. however, educational is what my reason for
coming here. it is also true, it isn't necessary to post , no matter
the subject.

i was searching the internet s/p our 99 trip when i discovered this
group. i did not post until we decided on the 2008 pc cruise. prior
my on'y interest was the c~board.

i will never forget the lady poster....about trying to get crt, &
crying over it..."a grown woman"....was the term she used. and
as we learn later....it was scandal ..of all groups, make a wish.shame
on anyone /group putting greed over value.

for us, it took 2 attempts before we even knew what we were
up against. ( a nice cm operator explained it ) .

i never received infractions til we became blt owners, and started to
read the dvc club. regardless, i think if mods make take a negative
action, then they should be open to discussions. i read the rules, and
accumulations......is not a rule. but if the mod re-read all my
posts, he would have recognized the changes i made each time.

i have been burn before, by these "types" of posters. they
follow specific patterns of behaviors that is quite revealing. for
example, what they do when they cannot argue /or defend/
rationalize -what is manipulations. even illegal (stealing-the laundry
lady) ,....they assume another id, and then make personal
attacks..via "playing the victim role. l don't know how many
times, posters disguise themselves...to either launch personal
attacks, or reported to a mod..."they was attack". look! @ the last
time, last april,...and you will "see" that poster never posted
again. something i seen repeated time after time.

i am suggesting mods need to get both side in any reported debate
instead of reacting to emotional input. also compare their facts to
what was in the post.- not what they are "claiming". the laundry
lady, of course is not liking my observations but she left no
defense...she went to take something she knew was stealing.
& she wasn't stealing from disney, but dvc owners. i did not
call her any names but her behaviors matched her words.

i see this frequently......just because they get away with it. it
is alarming to me.....for them encouraging others.

as for other sites, i have posted on some. but i noticed many
here are also on the sites, so it is all the same. one thing i do-
is to compare some of the dvc experts postings ...for consistency.
i found it very telling how many times they say one thing &
do another.

why? come here? even with all the personalities d/o, the information
is quite valuable.....& has made us better owners. we also alerted
to some of the things others are willing to do. all in all, being
educated.....has the benefit in getting the most out of our
investment. but yes, posting is not required.

* i think dvc direct owners, non-other timeshares, and/or
both/combinations of resales/direct, rci owners ....are in the
minority group here. i cannot stress enough, that the person
ownership...is what influencing their feelings most to the
topics here.

** one other by note, just because you don't understand something
does not mean it has no value. some things are easy to share
in speech...but not so easy via written hand. maybe too long- as
in a "lecture"...i knew it was taking a chance. however, i went
"for it" because the poster had discovered a "critical thinking"principle
that....i used in conducting human dynamics research. & while
on the subject...of mental health knowledge, & surprising to
the general public....it is as "concrete" as any other heath issue.
in reality, when a person has major changes in behavior,
suspect medical conditions.

i am suggesting, learning mental~health principles would help this
site to maintain its goals...while being fair to all , even those
having differences in opinions.
