What I don't understand about the new tickets

If you can't get through, take the ticket to any Guest Relations and have them scan it for you. You will need your picture ID, as well. They will be able to tell you what you need to know about the ticket. Not sure if ticketing will be able to tell you anything by phone, but it is worth a try!

...I may be wrong, but I remember reading that all one day admission expired either in December or sometime this month.
One day/one park tickets purchased on or after December 2, 2004 carried an expiration date of January 8, 2005.

I wouldn't waste money on a phone call. Either the ticket has expired or it has not. If it has, you need to buy another ticket at the booth anyway.
