I took apart an old photo album (the really sticky kind) of my DH childhood-graduation. Found a new way to use my Cricut spatula, it slide right under all the photos and I didn't rip any of them.

Got all of them; about 75; double matted and actually completed 4 pages!!!
Tomorrow I have to bring the photo disc my friend made for me from all the photos we used for Jim's memorial DVD to make sure I have all the ones I want.

Megan loved seeing her daddy as a baby, he even made a trip to DLR when he was 3!! and laughing at all the 60's and 70's clothing :hippie:.

Wanted to get this album completed first and then onto our DLR trips!

What a great thing to do Lisa. I'm sure your daughter loved
looking at all the pictures.

Great minds think alike here - working on one of my late DH - nearly 2 yrs now - want to get it completed too. As I have another grandchild on the way, all these memories need to be out there to share for my DD's and their families. And, coincidentally, it is pouring here too on the other coast!

congrats on the new grandbaby...our DD's will always know our love for their daddy's won't they by making them such wonderful gifts!

What a wonderful keepsake.

(And, it is raining here on the right coast too. Pretty much all day. Spent a lot of it on the couch with a book.)

Yes, our girls (big and younger) will have such lasting memories.
Thanks Jennifer- i start back to school in the morning - no kids til next week though!! ;) When does your dd begin?
It has been that lazy kind of day to just chill - it has poured here all day, but we really did need the rain! Caroline

Morgan goes back on the 31st. The teachers start on the 30th here. There is an "open house" of sorts this Thursday, I hope her homeroom teacher is there. She is starting middle school, including changing classes, so she's a bit nervous. And, that makes me nervous :sad1:

Yes, we really really did need the rain. I'm sure the grass is very happy today :)

Good for you Lisa :) Glad you're cropping again!! My girls giggle at our "silly seventies" clothes too ;)

Thanks, it felt good to be scrapping again!

Cheryl, Megan saw my yearbooks awhile back (I graduated HS in '81) she told me I had no style and really bad hair...I told everyone did :rotfl2: just wait, they will have the same comments from their DD's!

What a treasured album to have.

Where was the picture taken of your DH in DL? Could you take a pic of your DD in that location and incorporate it into a layout of the two of them?

That's a wonderful idea Lisa....it was in front of the castle, really close to the tunnel...will have to go through albums but sure I have one of Megan close to that age! if not, I have one of her and Jim (her first WDW visit) in front of the Mickey flowers at the entrance thats really cute, Jim looks to be about the same age as Megan.

What a cool project! Are you making a second copy for your daughter to have?

I wish I had pictures of my DH as a child. There are very few...he is the youngest of 3 and so by the time he came along the novelety of taking pictures had worn off. I really need to get on asking relatives and collecting the photos that do exist. Then scanning them so that I can scrap them one day.

It is for Megan to have! left a message for my FIL on Sun about us coming down to get the other photos he has to add.
This album will have his childhood up to when we met in 93, the other stuff is already scrapped.

Oh, Lisa, that would be even better, a pic of her by herself in front of the castle, his pic there, and the two of them together!!!! What a fabulous layout that would make. :)

Another great idea Lisa....will look through the albums tonight while Megan has a friend over for a sleep "Banned" to the office anyways :thumbsup2
