My mother & I visited Disney World on Nov. 12 - 13 2005 (1st trip)

1st day: Magic Kingdom

We took the ferry to get to the entrance (beautiful). We got on the WDW
Railroad first thing around the entire park, then headed over to Splash
Mountain (super fun!) and Tom Saywer Island (cool!) after that. Then we went on board the Jungle Cruise (hilarious), climbed to the top of the
Swiss Family Treehouse, rode the Big Thunder Mountain (thrillin') and got on Cinderella's Golden Carrousel (cute). Next came The Barnstormer (fun for a :15 second ride), followed by Tomorrowland Transit (generous length time), Carousel of Progress (good to see at least once), Stitch's Great Escape (ugh), and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger, with a break in between on Main Street. Then, we walked across the park to do Pirates of the Caribbean and walked across the park to Fantasyland again to ride Snow White's Scary Adventures (cute but too short), Mickey's PhilharMagic (simply magical!!), Space Mountain (aaaack!), and "it's a small world". Then came dinner at the Lunching Pad. Then we headed over to Magic Carpets of Aladdin (more enjoyable at daytime). We saw the big parade and the Wishes fireworks right after that. Then, we got on Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan's Flight right before leaving the park at 11pm

Comments: Simply Magical! The Haunted Mansion and Liberty Riverboat were closed during our visit and I regretted not seeing more of Toontown. I also missed seeing other attractions due to the parade times, but I feel we did adequate.

2nd day: Epcot

We took the monorail to get to the park. First, we did Spaceship Earth
(the globe!). Next, we saw Honey, I Shrunk the Audience (ehh) and
Journey Imagination w/ Figment and Living with the Land (interesting). Next, we headed to the World Showcase (it's a long walk), and stopped at several shops in the pavilions before we got to China and watched the 360 degree film (interesting), took a ride on Maelstrom in Norway (nice) and El Rio del Tiempo in Mexico (even better than "it's a small world"). We went back to Future World and got on Test Track (the speed part was fun), then Universe of Energy (too long and educational), and Soarin'. We had dinner at the Land food court (not too pricey - thank goodness). After resting for a while, we walked thru the Showcase again and watched the O Canada! film and the American Adventure film (I've seen better history films in school). After that, we watched the Illuminations fireworks before leaving the park at 9:25.

Comments: Ok, but not as fun as I had expected. The Living Seas Pavillion was closed during our visit and I was too afraid to go on Mission Space. Most of the rides were too educational. The Future World section of Epcot seemed cold and isolated, kinda like it's theme : space. Maybe the rides are too far apart or it has bad feng shui or something. The World Showcase was wonderful, tho - we went during the Food & Wine festival.

You sure packed a lot into those two days! Sounds like you had fun. I agree--Universe of Energy is too long--I usually skip that one.

Thanks for posting.

Enjoyed reading ~ Thanx for sharing.

Yeah, I had a little help w/ FastPass and good planning ahead - altho my mother delayed it a bit with the constant meal and restroom breaks (is that really necessary? :p ).
