What hotels do you recommend?

I was thinking of doing that seems like a more pleasant spot to cross.
This is the way we've always walked (crossing Harbor at South Manchester) when going to or coming from that direction (Hojo or Home2Suites, etc) unless we're stopping at McDonald's. Much more peaceful and less crowded.

I also like crossing there and find the walk to be quick and easy (and preferable to the masses with strollers etc. on the other side and crossing all the hotel driveways) but often get shot down on here for suggesting it as people think it's too "dark and deserted" on the DL side of Harbor there. I have never felt in any way unsafe walking over there by myself or with my DDs.

Anywhere that’s walking distance and clean rooms.

The Residence Inn by the convention center is a newer hotel also with full breakfast. It doesn't have two bathrooms like the Courtyard but it has a separate sitting area and full kitchen. The price point looks to be similar to the Home2Suites if you're interested. The walk is on the longer side, 15-17 minutes according to google maps.

HoJo is walkable and has a very cute splash play area, with a zero entry toddler pool. If that’s important for your kiddos, that would be a good compromise. I’d request one of the —-

Holy moly, I just went to their website to check what they are calling the rooms in the main tower (still “Building 1”) but I got a look at what they’re charging, in August. Never mind. No matter how much they’ve renovated this old hotel, I don’t think a 2 queen park view room in building 1 is worth (*checks notes*) $385 a night. I’d just go for one of the new ones across the street from there on Manchester, as suggested above. Courtyard by Marriott is very new and costs the same.

I generally stay at the crosswalk, Desert Inn (cheapest), BWPPI, Park Vue. But they are extremely old and basic. Just a place to shower and sleep. Pool doesn’t matter to us any more, (kids are grown up) and as long as it’s clean and I have ear plugs for the noise, I don’t care.

That’s another thing, though. Get your kids accustomed to a white noise machine now, before you leave, then bring it with you. It is a big help to cover the noisy people and slamming doors in the corridors.

Yeah HoJo was pretty pricey and I’d rather book at paradise pier or pay a little extra to stay at DL hotel

I find the Disney hotels are so so overpriced it’s not really worth it. My thought is I want a comfortable and relaxing spot to land. I like Hiltons and there are several good options around the mouse house.
