what is the closest hotel to the ship?

Technically, the Radisson is closest to Cruise Terminal #8.

However, DW and I are staying at the Holiday Inn Express. I'm a priority club member and collect the points, plus get free upgrades there. In addition, the cost of a suite at the HI express was cheaper than at the Radisson.

Assuming you mean when departing from Port Canaveral, www.dcltribute.com is the best site to see most hotel options..

I say assuming from PC, because the Magic is on the left coast this summer

We stayed at The Raddison for cruise #1 in 2004 and Ron Jon's Caribe Resort a few weeks ago for Cruise #2.

We LOVED Ron Jon's and plan to stay there again next year!

My DH and I had rented a car from Budget at the Orlando Int'l airport (we went a day early) and then the day of the cruise we returned it to Budget around 1:00 (which is when they start to board the ship). The Budget in Port Canaveral is very close to Ron Jon's and then the Budget shuttle brought us to the terminal and we did the reverse after the cruise. It was very easy and smooth. You will LOVE Ron Jon's! If we hadn't invested in Disney's Vacation Club back in '98, we would invest in this time share property without a doubt!
