What Hotel should we choose for July 08

I have been successful in my efforts to convince my wife that after being so sad this summer (not going to Disney) that we should go to the world next summer for our family vacation.

We have stayed at the Carribean Beach (6 nights in 05 with DDP) and at Coronado Springs (7 nights in 06 with DDP) and loved both stays. I know my wife would love to stay at the Poly, we did the luau dinner show there in 06 and she loved the resort. I am kinda interested in staying at AK. Im just not sure we can afford either one. I dont know if we could do it much cheaper doing a split stay, mod/deluxe, and I dont know if my wife would want to stay in one of the value resorts after staying at mods twice.

So I would appreciate advise from all you folks and thanks in advance for your help.

If you are looking for something a little nicer than mods, but not as expensive as the Poly, try a standard room in AKL or WL. Do you have AAA? You can get a 15% discount off the room portion of your trip if you book through AAA (value season starts July 20). If you are not doing DDP you can book a AAA rate through Disney CRO. HTH.

I reserved a standard room at WL for Aug 08. The price is rack rate, but figure my travel agent will keep a look out for AP rates that usually don't come out till next summer! And I can start saving for it no matter what I end up paying.

I just love the WL, and so wanted to stay there.WL and AKL are alittle cheaper than Poly. But the standard rooms seem to sell out fast.

Try looking on the DVC rent/trade board. You can rent from a DVC member and stay at one of the DVC's cheaper than a deluxe resort.
