What hotel in Tallahassee?

Has anybody stayed in a hotel in Tallahassee, FLorida on their way to wdw that they would recomend? ALso do you go down interstate 10 to IH 75 or going south out of Tallahassee on highway 27 to I-75?

Cant go wrong with either route. You will go thru more little towns on 27 and some horse farms as you near Ocala. Definitely more scenic to see the old road that everyone used to take before the interstates were built.

As for hotels off the N.Monroe exit there is a Comfort Suites, new Fairfield & new Microtel Inn. The Ramada is also there and has been recently refurbished. The next exit is Thomasville Rd with a very nice Hilton Garden Inn, a Courtyard & Residence Inn.

If you are visiting during the fall make sure you make resv ahead of time as that is FSU football season and many of the weekend nights will be booked months in advance.

Usually make that stop ourselves. the two exits above are the "hotel" exits. There are 5-8 or so at each exit. Also, fast food and light sit down places. We run 10 on into 75. Get a detector for the I-10 run. Easy to make some real ggod time between the panhandle and I-75. You are about 4-5 hrs or so from wdw (If memory serves me) Steak and Shake in Ocala for lunch.

Disfreak, I'm from Alabama and travel this way often. I have found the best way is to take I-10 to I-75 and I-75 to Florida turnpike and turnpike to 27 south to 95. This is shortest and quickest route.
