What hotel do you recommend close to Disneyland and why??

We just returned from Disneyland and stayed at the Marriott. Great hotel, nice value, and a pretty easy walk to the parks.

Disneyland or Grand california hotels. They are on property, the rooms are very nice, and large with king size beds. The rooms are CLEAN and smell CLEAN. Park admission for everyone, early admission to DL, FastPass, reserved seating for shows, gift shops, nice restaraunts, coffee shop, work out facility, great pools with lifeguards and towels, DLH now has water slides, hottubs, when you purchase anything in the parks you can have it sent to the hotel for pickup the next day(t-shirt, coffee mugs, etc)(FREE). The list goes on.
When we check in, they have our park pass' and complete itinerary of our stay ready for us. They will go every item with us to make sure we have everything, ie: character breakfasts & dinners, toon town morning madness reservations, restaurant reservations, etc. Have a question or problem with anything, just ask a disney castmember. They will help you or they will find someone who will.
We tried the travel agents years ago and were not happy at all. We now do everything through Disney(remember they own the place). We recieve all the extras for DL through disney and save a lot of money compared to what we recieved from the so called experts. We go to DL for seven to nine days at a time. We enjoy all the extras and still have not come close to what the travel agents charged us years ago for a five day/four night basic trip with no extras. This is our personal experiences, for what it is worth, have fun.:cool1:

Here's another vote for the Fairfield Inn. We really liked this hotel during our 5 night stay. The room is an average size but the 2 beds are queen sized and would be enough room for the four of you. Plus you can go to the top floor, get a pizza from pizza hut, and go out on the balcony and watch the fireworks at night. :)
