What hotel booking sites do you use?

I always book direct with the hotel if possible. I'm too paranoid of anything going wrong not to. Plus sometimes you get additional benefits for booking direct. For one of my hotel stays in Japan, I was able to get early check in/late checkout, free water in the room for everyone in my group, and 500 yen cashback per day since I booked directly with the hotel and joined their loyalty program.

I’ve been loyal to Expedia for years. Book in Canadian dollars before we leave (refundable booking).
Used it in Canada, USA and Europe.

But thinking of branching out and trying a different website like Trivago.

What do you use?

I used to always use Expedia but I did always get a lot of info from TripAdvisor reviews before booking.

None. I always book direct unless I'm getting at travel credit from one of my CC through Chase or Capital one. I have even had problems with that, but Capital one was great and fixed it.
