What health procedures have you put off doing?

What health procedures have I put off doing? None.
What health procedures has my Primary Care Physician ordered that the Specialist involved reviewed and feels is not an urgent situation? An Echocardiogram. I don't want to jinx it, but let's just say my Primary Care Physician loves tests.....I had an echocardiogram last year.....wore a holter monitor the year before, and had another echocardiogram the year before with no issues found.

More like your primary physician doesn't want to get sued for malpractice.

You sound like my wife. I do have a verified health issue, that was caused by the blood pressure medicines he choose to prescribe. My insurance did decline one test he wanted as being medically unnecessary. But now I am on Medicare, and Medicare approves all procedures that a Doctor orders.

I was supposed to have some female issues related surgery a couple of weeks ago. Rescheduled when the first health system tried to get me to pay $$$$s. They were trying to charge me the insurance allowable, not the patient portion. So. Switched to their competitor!

Seeing a podiatrist for toenail fungus. I feel they’ll need to remove three nails completely and I’m just a chicken, so I keep using the OTC treatment and hoping it’ll magically go away.

I'm not putting anything off, but my insurance company turned down a request from my gallbladder surgeon to do an MRI to investigate a lesion on my pancreas. It was discovered in the followup MRI I had after I had my gallbladder removed, and so per the insurance company I have to wait until next August to get it looked at.

While not in the same category as the surgeries that have been mentioned, I had been putting off my 2nd shingles shot until the last possible moment. I had to get it earlier this week to get it in time. I had such a bad reaction to the first one, I was not looking forward to the second one. For all my dread over this shot, the 2nd one wasn't so bad.

Yeah, I waited too long. I had no issues with any reaction to either shot, but my wallet sure was hurting. My group health insurance covered the cost of the first shot. But I turned 65 and was on Medicare by the time I got my second shot. Medicare, my supplement and my prescription plan to not cover the shingles shot. So the second shot cost me $199. Just odd to me something that those on Medicare would commonly need, isn't covered.

I've never put anything off without reason, and wouldn't. I do have a herniated disc in my back, however it is very minor and the surgeon evaluated me and basically saidd that we could do the surgery and recovery, but that since it barely causes issues we could alwasy wait and see and do it if it get's worse. I've been waiting about 25 years now for it to get worse and it hasn't, so I've never done the surgery. Considering what could go wrong too, I really haven;t felt that I needed it. If the pain was debilitating or anything, then I might have conisdered it, but generallt PTO has kept it at bay.

If you have Part D coverage, it does cover it.

You should look into ozone therapy and see if you’d be a candidate for that. I don’t have personal experience but it sounds really promising as an alternative to surgery for herniated discs.

I do, and it didn't because I had not reached the annual deductible yet.
beginning 1/1/23 it is covered entirely with no deductible and no cost sharing.
