What are some of the things that you can order from Room Service that is not on the menu? I know about the Micky Bars. What about for Breakfast? Anyone ever order anything else? How about Hot Chocolate? Do they still have PB and J. I did not see it on the menu? Can you order a big bowl of chip? Do they have pretzels?

Thanks

  • Room service breakfast is strictly continental...rolls, danish, bagels, cold cereals, tea, coffee, juice, etc. For anything more elaborate you'll have to go to Topsiders/Beach Blanket Buffet or Lumiere's/Triton's.
  • As for other meals, we really liked the ham (or turkey) sandwiches. The bread was fantastic. We also ordered lots of chocolate chip cookies and DS had a Mickey bar nearly every night. I have heard the lasagna is excellent but have not (yet) tried that. I do not believe that pretzels are available. If they are they will be pre-packaged and there will be a charge for them.

Here is the room service menu...

As part of your cruise package, all meals on board are included in your package price. This includes 24 hour room service. Unlike your main meals, however, soda is extra. The following is a list of items available through room service as of 3/06. This is, of course, subject to change, but it should give you a good idea of what to expect from Room Service. **PLEASE NOTE that while to food is free, gratuities are allowed. Please be sure to show your appreciation to the server who delivers your food.

When I was in Rome on DCL, I ordered breakfast for 6.00am it was very prompt, usually we go to topsiders but that was an alarm call as well as we had a long day ahead, I like all hands on deck, cheeses, and Mickey bars!

Also in the Med we ordered he water's they are moe expensive but we had tight timescales on various private tours and it was soo usefull in the heat.

I believe I read that sometimes in the afternoon they bring out a cart on Deck 9 with small bags of chips. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I had the Tortilla soup. It had an ok flavor, but it was pureed, and a weird texture. It wasn't the typical broth with chunks of chicken, veggies, etc...

I usually get the cheese plate when I order breakfast. I just write it on the door tag. I also order a bowl of strawberries and grapes too.

Pluto's dog house has a condiment bar and they have bags of chips available.

I have never seen this. They do have a cart of pre-packaged snacks outside the Buena Vista Theater just before movies start and they also sell them outside the Walt Disney Theater before showtime each night.

You can get chips through room service. They come with the sandwiches so I'm sure they would be able to send you just a bowl of chips. I have aos seen tortilla chips (with nacho fixin's) for free at Diversions (Deck 3 Forward) in the evenings. They also have hot dogs and chicken wings. Yum!

Okay, maybe I'm wrong. Someone mentioned a cart of snacks, including individual bags of chips, being put out somewhere. I remember they said they took a few for their room. But I don't remember any details. Sorry.

They do have individual bags of chips on Castaway Cay, both regular and barbecue flavors. They are located on the buffet line at Cookies. Perhaps that was what they were talking about.

they have bags of chips avalible on castaway cay so i would think they would have them on the ship. we took several bags back to our room. they were the small halloween size. great for snaking at the movies.:thumbsup2

If you order the cereal from room service, is it the individual prepackaged variety or do they bring you a bowl of dry cereal? DH loves to snack on dry cereal so I'm thinking we could order some for him to take for snacking on excursions if it's the prepackaged individual servings.

I hadn't thought of that. Good to know and we can plan ahead since we'll be hitting CC at the beginning and end of our cruise when we go. We can stock up on snacks for the movies at the beginning of the cruise. :thumbsup2
