I was just thinking about this the other day. The only thing I can think of is, I've never been in the drawing class in the Animation building at DCA. I think I need to do that my next trip!
Our trip next month is going to be all about doing things we have never done!
In no particular order the new things we want to do are:
stay at the Grand Californian - I have wanted to stay here but I just could not stomach the cost when a room in one of the motels directly across from the entrance was 20-25% of the cost. Getting an amazing deal made this possible. I just hope that none of us love it too much!
eat at Napa Rose, specifically at the chef's counter - this was an unfulfillable dream until DS was older or we were staying at the Grand since they have Pinocchio's Workshop where he can go for the evening.
ride California Screamin' - DH loves this ride but DS and I have been WAAAAAY too chicken to go. DS has been asking to go to WDW but our agreement is that we all have to ride every single ride at DL and DCA before we go to WDW and CS is the last one that we have not yet done.
Tiki Room - DH did this last trip with his sister but DS and I had already gone back to the room so we still need to do this. I've also never had a Dole Whip but I'm not a big pineapple fan so I'm not sad to let this one pass.
Carnation Cafe - I can't believe we have missed this so I just made reservations for breakfast.
Of course, like most people we have never dined at Club 33.
This thread is making me realize how much I've never done
These are just the things I can think of off the top of my head:
Autopia
Any of the boats/canoes
Tom Sawyer Island
Coaster in Toontown
Carousel
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Innoventions
Bugsland rides (excluding It's Tough to be a Bug!)
Luigi's Flying Tires
A lot of the Paradise Pier rides (excluding CS, Midway Mania, Jumping Jellyfish and Goofy's Sky School)
Aladdin show
Fantasmic
Good grief, what have I been doing on all these trips?
We've been 40 times, and my list looks long. You might notice themes of anti-spinning, anti-heights, and anti-canoes.
Haven't ridden:
Astro Orbiter
Tea Cups
Dumbo
Carousel
Gadget's Go Coaster
Canoes
Tower of Terror
spinning rides in Bug's Land
Golden Zephyr
Jumpin' Jellyfish
Silly Symphony Swings
Goofy's Sky School
Mickey's Fun Wheel
California Screamin'
Haven't stayed at the Grand Californian
Haven't eaten at:
Big Thunder Ranch BBQ
Carthay Circle Resaurant
Ariel's Grotto
The Cove Bar
Steakhouse 55 for dinner
Tangaroa Terrace
Trader Sam's
House of Blues
Tortilla Joes
Catal
Haven't bought anything at:
the magic shop
one of the crystal shops
the perfume shop
a bunch of the DtD stores
a balloon or light-up toys cart
Also haven't purchased anything drawn on-site by an artist, i.e. a character drawing, name art, a caricature, etc.
Except for a couple of the restaurants and maybe buying something hand-drawn on-site someday, I'm fine with the things on my list remaining on the list no matter how many times I visit.
There are likely several places I haven't yet eaten in the parks (notice I said YET ), but I think I've done nearly everything else I can think of! I am one of those people who likes to get every single award in a video game, must collect every item, ride every ride, etc. The only things I can think of are:
Haven't stayed in DLH or GCH
Haven't had a character dining experience
Haven't ridden Flik's Flyers or the Jumping Jellyfish
Haven't done the canoes- but will
Haven't done ToT - and never will
Haven't done Turtle Talk (finally did see it at WDW last year)
Haven't had the lobster nachos at Cove Bar
Haven't eaten at Carnation Cafe, Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55.
Haven't seen/done the new princess stuff in fantasyland .
Haven't done a backstage tour.
For some of the PP - Animation Academy is great!
I have been going often since DCA opened and finally rode CA Screamin in Dec 2012. Love it and wish I hadn't waited so long.
I've never gone on a ToonTown ride.
During my recent trip, I got in line for the Car Toon Spin, but the ride broke down while I was in line, and ToonTown was closing in 10 minutes.
On every trip I try to do at least one thing I've never done before, some examples:
- Ride the Lilly Belle (did that before they took it away but now I hear it's back) - Wheelhouse on the Mark Twain
- Try the non-moving version of Finding Nemo (they just stick you in the room and leave you there. They told us feel free to leave whenever)
It's pretty cool that are still a handful of things I have never done. Tinder Car ride is next on my list. My ultimate bucket list item is still the Dream Suite.
I have never and don't plan to:
-stay on site (for our family of 6 its just to expensive)
-canoes (we do it on a regular basis where I live)
-Moments with President Lincoln (I'm Canadian so do not feel the patriotic pull)
-Animation Academy (I am in no way artistic!)
-Club 33 (in my wildest dreams..haha)
I have never but plan to:
-eat fried chicken
-eat a Monte Cristo
-eat at Carthay Circle
Other than that we have eaten at every restaurant in both parks and rode every ride!
For me the biggest thing I want to do but never have is the Explorer Canoes.
The few times they were running while I was there I had shoulder issues and since I've been better they've never been running while we're there.
Some day!
