What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

How about arriving at EPCOT thinking it is EMH and being the first ones in the parking lot wondering why no one else is here....you guested it. I was at the wrong park for early opening :rotfl:

Why do I keep thinking of the movie "Vacation" when I read this... "Sorry folks, park's closed... moose out front shoulda told ya."

But actually, it sounds like something I'd do... too funny!

This was in early December and it was a early morning at MK, there was no one around. Myself & my nephew who was 5 at the time were sitting in Liberty Square (looking at a map...I was lost). All of the sudden Belle came out and started talking to my nephew. He grabbed her hand and wouldn't let go. He told her everything about Beauty & the Beast and Mary Poppins. This went on for about 5 minutes...then she asked us if we have a few minutes. I said yes.

My nephew & Belle went hand in hand, and myself trotting behind trying to take a picture (of course the camera didnt work) to IASW...where we went to the front of the line and My nephew & Belle rode up front and I stayed far behind in the last seat.

It was quite nice & very funny because my nephew was star struck and ratalled on & on & on about everything to Belle. When the ride was over she gave him a kiss, and told him she had to go meet the Beast.

When she left, he turned to me and said "I think Belle likes me"!

That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard!!

We were there last September when Jeanne was coming. We arrived Saturday afternoon and the park was closing at 7:00 p.m. that night for the hurricane so we hurried up and went to MK. After a few of the rides and right before the park was closing the kids wanted to ride Splash Mountain. There was no one else on the ride when they got on. They rode it once and had a ball! When it came time to get off the ride my husband asked if they could ride it again. The CM said sure why not since no one else was waiting. That was a highlight that they still talk about…how they got to ride Splash Mountain two times in a row by themselves! :cool1:

Back in 1980 or 81. I was 5 years old. My family was on the teacups with the Harlemglobtrotters. They were passing basketballs all around us on the teacups. From that moment on, all I wanted to do was be a globtrotter.

That is SO SO cool!!! We went on the teascups w/ Alice and the Mad Hatter last year (not in the same cup) and thought that was great but WOW basketballs flying everywhere - that must have been awesome!!!

How about arriving at EPCOT thinking it is EMH and being the first ones in the parking lot wondering why no one else is here....you guested it. I was at the wrong park for early opening But it was great when we left at closing as we had a front row parking space. We grabbed the monorail and went to Kona Cafe for breakfast and then returned when it actually opened. Oh well, DH has never let me forget this one, being the micromanager that I am.

Wow, my DH would have been in heaven if I ever did that. He always tries to pull one over on me at Disney and so far he hasn't. I am like you - I totally know what is going on everywhere at every park :flower:

That said, your misfortune is a great idea, if you are not staying on the monorail. I think we may plan to do something like this - we are staying at CSR but the thought of a first row spot and then some Kona french toast, MMMM!!!!!

And I bet the whole time you're thinking, like Sparky, "First ones here, first ones here!" when he pulled in to the Wally World parking lot.

For my upcoming trip in September, I have CRT and a Breathless Illuminations Cruise booked for the SAME DAY! I guess it's been done before, but not often.

My father, brother and I went to the Hall of Presidents during the first parade during MNSSHP and we were the only people in there. In fact they took us in the back way because they did not want to open the curtain that leads into the theater. The CM told us we could take flash pictures etc. if we wanted to because we would not be bother anyone. It was kind of spooky.

Another incident I remember is in the American Experience at EPCOT. The scene where Will Rogers is twirling his lasso, there was no lasso but I don't think anyone else noticed. I stopped a CM on the way out and let him know that there was a problem and the CM seemed a little confused but picked up the phone and called maintenance. How long it was broken is anyone's guess.

We've had so many magical moments at WDW, I can't remember them all. Of course none are any that others haven't experienced! But one night at Chef Mickey's we had a late seating and were one of the last people there. I gave my 4 yo granddaughter my digital camera to take some pictures and all of the characters saw her and got in a group for her to take pictures of them. As soon as she would snap a picture, they would all run around behind her to view it, then get back in a group. This went on for 5 or 6 pictures. We just sat back and watched. One of those priceless moments, you know?

One year at WDW, over the course of 1 week and in 3 different places, I found 3 wallets full of money. I turned them in and always wished I could have seen their face when someone told them that their wallet had been found - with all their money.

My son was chosen for Super Star Television and then years later was asked to announce "The Beatles" at EPCOT. Fun Stuff

Anyone get to see the taping of Americans Funniest Videos?

HOW did this come about?...DETAILS DETAILS!

Other people have done it--but none got this cool of a pic (save one or two other people)....

But I've seen fireworks at Disney from an empty main street:

Unfortunately, this is from a video image as my camera was good enough to capture the pic properly.....so I can't blow it up or anything. But it was a VERY cool moment that I can safely say would be very near impossible to duplicate.

:cool1:

This was during the taping of America's Funniest Home Videos. One other DISer can say this as well :)

Myself and my daughter with Mr. Bergeron on the first night of taping (of the video cutaways):

I did spot myself twice on the show--one very clearly...the other required a quick finger and the pause button :smooth: .

I'm not sure I'm the only one with a photo like this, but I thought it was pretty unique:

I think Hubby and I might be one of the only couples who've traveled to Disney, stayed on site for 5 days + nights, and not once ever entered a park :goodvibes We travel through every hotel, shop/eat, chat with other vacationers and then head over to do some Disney shopping.

(should I mention we've done this more than once?)

I was about to ask how on earth you have the willpower - then read your sig... no I take it back - how *do* you have the willpower not to go in a park??

:goodvibes

We had just arrived at the boat launch when the boat was pulling away. WE were going to go to the Monorail when someone in a smaller baot motioned us over and took us around the lagoon!! It was so much fun and pretty magical at the time!! It was also my son's 4th birthday!! So that made it that much nicer!

Also on another trip we were at the Magic Kingdom until it closed. Well he was riding on Goofy's Bernstormer and the characters came out of the judges tent. My son is a charmer and charmed the CM into riding over and over. She leaned over and whispered something to him. He smiled and nodded and said something to her. Well, over comes Pooh, Goofy Mickey and other characters and she asks him which one he wants to ride with. He picked Pooh and laughed the whole time. I tell you my son is a little charmer and knows that he can get pretty much anything he wants by batting his eyes and acting cute!! LOL!!

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who as done this, but on my last trip in February DS7 and I played checkers on one of the tables in front of the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade. It was a great break from running from ride to ride!

My ds and my dh did this a couple of trips ago...when my ds was 7 as a matter of fact!! I took a picture of them...it was a nice break!

I'm sure that this has happened to someone else, but while waiting in line for the train at MK, the conductor put his hat on my 3 y/o ds for a photo opportunity. It was pretty cute!

I know I am not the only one who has done this but I have actually marched in one of the parades at the MK. It was when I was a JR in high school long long time ago. It was very cool getting dressed behind the scenes and going through a secret door to get to the dressing area. Meeting Cindy dressed in sweats lol
