Taking a Florida holiday should carefully planned and not rushed into - NOT!

Just booked today and flying next Friday with Thomsons

We were supposed to be having a summer med holiday but after being quoted over 2k for a 'cheap deal' were off to Florida again for not much more!

We have been before in May and June but never flown Thomson/Sanford or gone in August so expecting rain, heat and crowds. Anything else to beware?.

We won't be doing all Disney this time as we have been twice before, probably just MK and water parks.
What else is really worth doing apart from the big parks?

Have you been to Gatorland that good . We love wondering round the flea markets also as well as the shops.
What about a dinner show.
Old town in the evening is good fun with some small shops & different eventson most evenings

my daughter and i did that two years ago - a sudden trip with less than a week's notice..
and we had soooooooooooooooooooo much fun.....

We booked last year with First Choice on a Friday and flew out the next day!!!!

It was great fun rushing round - lol!!!!!

thanks for the replies,

We will do some stuff again like seaworld, Magic Kingdom, IoA etc as their our favourites. Also some days at water parks as this is going to be less intense than our previous trips.

Gatorland sounds ok, how about the Everglades or beaches within reasonable travelling.
