I just booked my next vacation to USO!! So excited, going in November. It's been exactly 4 years since my last trip, way too long. It looks like a lot has been going on since my last trip. Harry Potter was still in construction then. So, fill me in on what I've missed since July 2009! :cool1:

I think new since Harry Potter is Simpsons, Depicable Me, & Transformers.:cool1:

Aside from Harry Potter -

- The Jimmy Neutron ride has been re-done with a Despicable Me theme.
- The Simpson's area has just been expanded to include a food court themed as Simpson's restaurants and they are in the process of adding a Duff Brewery area and a fairway-type spinning ride (Kang and Kodos' Twirl and Hurl). Those should be opening soon (the Twirl and Hurl was testing last Friday and the Duff area looked almost done).
- The Transformer's ride just opened.
- Rip Ride Rocket opened around the time you were last there. Don't know if you missed it or not.

This time, you'll be able to see all the Harry Potter stuff that's going up now that will connect the two parks.

Spiderman got a new film and soundtrack. Two new mini-putt course at Citywalk.

Looking forward to all the new stuff. I didn't know about some of that. Rip, Ride, Rocket was just getting ready to open when I was there last, but we missed it. Is Despicable Me geared more toward children? Just me and my husband this time, no kids.

JAWS closed permanently Jan 2012 to make way for the Harry Potter Expansion

I like it. I loved the first movie (haven't seen the new one), so that might have had some influence on things.

We came back from our trip earlier this week and were REALLY impressed with Universal. So much has changed there over the last few years (as opposed to Disney where the only change was the "new" Fantasyland which was a great big yawn!).

Of the new rides since your last visit our choice is
1) Harry Potter Land/Wizarding World - Amazing theming and ride
2) Rip Ride Rocket - great rollercoaster
3) Transformers - very impressive
4) Despicable Me - really funny for adults and kids
5) Spiderman - updated and much better IMO

Have fun!
