Although I may be "asking" for it - I, too, am typically a neat traveller. I figure that although I am a paying guest, I don't want to add too strenuously to the workload. I pick up after myself and even check the box that says I'll reuse my towels. After all, it's usually only me travelling.
With re: to the Contemporary, I do object to finding petrified old food on the floor - I am led to believe that NO vacuuming was done at all - which for health reasons, is objectionable. As for the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling - we're not talking about the corners, we're talking all over the ceiling 10 to 16 incles long that would periodically fall onto me as I slept and caused a host of asthmatic problems. True, most people do not have asthma (I wish I was one of them). But to have Dis personnel completely ignore my requests for 3 days is pathetic. I expect no more and certainly, no less, from Disney resorts than I would any hotel I stay at. It has been said, over and over, that Disney holds itself to a higher standard. Although Walt's beliefs may have faded recently, for the most part they do a good job. When they do slip up, they need to be more attuned to guests comments.
