What has Disney removed that makes you the saddest?

Mission to Mars (The thought of that stupid bird still makes me laugh.)
Tomorrowland that looked futuristic.
The old Imagination play area.
Horizons

I hope to bring my son to WDW for his first trip soon. While I'll miss some of the things from my childhood memories, I do think that the WDW of today will feel just as magical to him.

I just joined the forum today. I chose my username in a way to reflect my memories (we had an EPCOT license plate on our car before it opened and I bought a pink Figment baseball cap on our first visit there when it opened) and to reflect the present. I loved WDW as a child. I am very excited about loving WDW as a parent!

:welcome::welcome::welcome: to the Dis boards!

The Japanese candy artist, could watch her all night. "Fllyyy birdy!" "Corn soooowwiip tasteoo good"

Loved the candy lady!:thumbsup2:goodvibes We got to see her one last time this past late Sept before she retired. We were very fortunate to have each of our three kids get to call out an animal that she then made. Sad to see her go. Always a big smile, and man could she make those candy figurines fast, and beautiful!

Horizons
the old Journey Into Imagination
If You Had Wings
"Tomorrow's Child" at the end of Spaceship Earth
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

Whoever said the word "Buffeteria"! YES! I LOVED that word - it was so unique and so "Disney'! :yay:
That would be me, back at post #123! :goodvibes

The Empress Lilly and sold it to that awfull restaurant.
Agree. I loved the Empress Room. WDW needs and deserves more "fine dining" than just Victoria & Albert's.

The original Journey into Imagination!

The original was fantastic, inspired me as a kid and the only other ride to capture my attention and make me want to soak in every single detail is haunted mansion.

They shortened the track, turned figment into annoying as opposed to light hearted and curious.

From E-ticket to passable and a complete walk on.

I cling to the hopes and dreams that they will shut it down again and brought everything back to its former glory. I have no illusions that they will bring back the original....but do have the hope it will come back newer, fresher, and worthy of the original that Tony Baxter spearheaded. Cant wait to see the Marvel Comic about Figment and Dreamfinder. I hope they redo the ride with a younger dreamfinder !

Anyhow.....IiiiiiiiMMMAAAAAAggggiinnaaaattionNNNNN!
(and back to my own personal sanity :) )

I read the posts up until I found the one that I miss the most as well :sad1:

To add to that, the Rainbow tunnel was awesome. I hear it's still there, never to be used again....

Ahh memories....

Hmmm things I miss the most....

Block Party Bash/parades in general at DHS
Disney Channel Rocks
Tarzan Rocks
Trees in the hub
Spectro Magic
Main Street Bakery
Certain Citizens of Hollywood that have been let go over the years such as the original Mimi Kaboom and Betty Shambles along with Shelby Mayer who is leaving soon
Character variety
Resort Specific mugs
Comedy Warehouse, although I never got to experience it in it's original incarnation but I love the Holiday Special and learning about the original and Adventurer's Club makes me wish I could have experienced them.

I can probably think of more later but those are the most immediate things

Mickey's Toontown--less crowded and my son would've loved to see this, but his first visit (at 2) was just after they started construction on the new fantasyland.

The old Whispering Canyon Café-- where you weren't limited to just the skillet and the pulled pork was on the skillet and the chicken tasted a whole lot better!

Better pins on CM lanyards.....seems like it's mostly the same old junk every time, yet you don't see near as many guests pin trading in the parks. (Then again who has time when everything has to be so scheduled with FP+)

Legacy FP and A time when we could go even during spring break season and still be able to walk through the crowds instead of them being so thick you can't stir them with a stick. Our last couple of trips have been so crowded even during "lower crowd" times that it's just not that enjoyable and we can't do as much as we used to due to FP+ and longer lines for what used to be "less desirable" attractions........I used to never see It's a Small world with a wait time over 25 mins........this year it was over 90 mins most days we were at MK!

Don't get me wrong, I still love Disney, but what used to be our "least stressful" vacation is turning into stress and no relaxation and spending half the day in the park glued to an app on our phones.

Mr. Toads Wild Ride.... I Boycotted Winnie the Pooh for 10 years because of its removal

here's one - I miss the nice open space in Adventure Land that came to be Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride - I have always felt that this attraction was not necessary and it diminished the appeal of the area with the increased foot traffic and lack of open space. I remember sitting there and enjoying a snack/ beverage while the family was in the Enchanted Tiki Room; that whole vibe is gone now.

This is one of our family's favorite rides!! Our girls love that camel that spits and line is usually pretty short!!!

well im from Cali, so we what i mess most of Disney is that the parades. some of them were beyond great. i know they have to route them but they need to bring back parade of dreams. miss the "CALIFORNIA" sign out in front of California Adventures.

Peasure Island
The main Street Arcarde (and most of the changes to main street)
Mr Toad
Original Journey into Imagination

Mr Toads ride. Not saying it was amazing, but it's one I definitely remember from being a kid.

Characters just walking around, signing stuff rather than such rigid M&G times, where if you show up when they arrive, the line is already closed.

And the Coconut heads (coconuts carved and decorated as pirates). I still have one from when I was little.

I miss the more laid back eating experience pre-dining plan explosion.

Also Test Track before the latest update. It's toned down and I loved the pre ride movie.
