Just bought into SSR for 300 pts. I thought the $10 off per point was a really good deal. I was wondering what other incentives they have offered in the past.

That's pretty much the same deal they keep running with slight modifications. Just realize that the base price keeps going up. We paid a net of $79 per point about 18 months ago, and got all 50 years. If my guess is correct, you paid $85 per point for 49 years.

There was a deal last fall where EXISTING members could add points at SSR, get the $10 discount AND two adult annual pass vouchers. That's about the single best deal I've seen since I've been following DVC.

til 12/31/1999 - free tickets

a studio and 1-bedroom got 2
2-bedroom got 4
3-bedroom got 6

on boy I miss this!

One of the original incentives was free park tickets during your stay on points. This was good until before 2000 for some of the early OKW purchasers. Now That was an incentive!

Yes this was a great incentive.

Boy did we have sticker shock :earseek: the first time we had to buy our tickets.

well I didn't have sticker shock - because I have been following the ticket prices - but boy it was so nice to have those free tickets....

BCV $60 per point. :cool1: Just looked last night at our BCV purchase just over 2 years ago. OK thats misleading. It was $70 per point, after $5 off (or a 3 day vacation) and we got the first years points (which we rented out at $10, equivalent to MB).

Original up to 5 years in - Less than $60 per point/double points at purchase/free park entry til 12/31/99!

Best deal by far!

Glad we got it :goodvibes
