What happens with packages and later package discounts?

Hi -

I know this question may have been answered before but I'm wondering. I have booked a package (I know, not the best deal) but I'm wondering what would happen if another package comes out at a cheaper rate. Can I call WDTC and "re-book" at the lower rate at the same hotel. Could there be a possibility that my resort is not available for the discounted rate even though I already have a room? What happens if we want to upgrade to another hotel because the rate would be better there? Any advice/input would be great. This is the only code question I will ask b/c the reason we're doing the package is to avoid stressing about waiting/watching for a code.

Assuming availability, you can rebook.

Technically, you don't "rebook"- CMs will modify your current ressies to reflect the new rate or resort. They send you a confirmation in the mail of the modifications that have been made.
