What happens to your FPs when MBs don't work?

I keep reading about MBs not working properly. What happens to your FPs when this happens? How do you prove you have a FP? Are they good for later? Just want to be prepared in case this happens on our trip. We haven't used MBs before.

I'm sure Magic Bands don't work for a few people every now and then but I would assume it is extremely rare. Myself and no one I've ever traveled with have ever had any sort of issues. But if you'd like a little more piece of mind, you can take a screen shot your FP+ reservations in the MyDisneyExperience App.
1) This just makes it easy for you when you are trying to remember when your next reservation is as you don't have to wait for the app to load (and use more battery)
2) if there was an issue you could show the CM. Of course a screen shot isn't proof that you still currently have that reservation, but I've heard CM's are pretty nice about using that when the whole FP+ (not MagicBand) system has gone down.
 
The only time we've had issues with our magic bands, it's only been for entry to the park. FP scanners worked fine, but for some reason they don't always work on entry. It always seems to be my youngest son too.

Except for one day at Epcot when I don't think ANY MB were working on the tapstiles. Not only did ours not work (through 2 different stiles) but the people in front and behind didn't work either. It was a mess.
 
Had it not read one time in 5 trips - showed them my phone and went right in. With a bonus FP for the trouble! I used to carry the paper printout but I don't do that anymore as I never used it.
 
We've not had a problem in three trips. We had a couple of issues with MBs and paying for dining on the first trip with MBs but that was early in the introductory cycle and we've not had any issues since. I think it's fairly rare now. If you have a smartphone with you, you can pull up your MDE account and show them and they can verify it.

Just know that that your FPs are not "on" your MB.
There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info, or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.
A MagicBand only contains a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in a guest's MyDisneyExperience file.
When the MagicBand is touched to a "Mickey Head Reader,"
the MB's serial number is read and that number creates a an instant connection to the guest's MDE account info.
The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.
The MB, itself, is not the container of the ticket or FastPass, or Room key number, etc.
The MB just unlocks the guest's file of info, allowing it to be accessed from her/his MDX account when needed.

If you want, you can go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations and pick up a free CARD that will work for
park entry and FP entry as a "back-up" for your MB.

It's not going to be an issue. You may have a problem with your MB to get in the room (because the serial number on your band isn't registered in the data base for the room) or you may have an issue to get in the park, because the ticket isn't linking correctly to your MDE account. But you aren't going to have an issue with FP linked to your MDE account. There are times when everyone's FP are inaccessible but they are so rare it's not something to concern yourself with. They have stuff in place to get around it.

Honestly a screen shot is pretty pointless. How would they know you didn't make a screen shot, cancel those FP and make new ones?
 
Thank you everyone for the replies! Like I said, we haven’t used Magic Bands and while I’ve read about them, I have no real experience.

Glad to read FPs shouldn’t be an issue.
