What happens to the "Barney" kids?

Have you ever wondered what happens to the kids who were on Barney?

I've been watching this ?wonderful? show since my niece was little (she'll be 16 next month). And today we watched it with my 7 mo old.

I just wonder what ever happened to some of those sweet and annoying kids that were on the early Barney shows? Will E! True Hollywood Story ever do a show on them?

I think I need to get out more............

A friend and I were talking about this the other day! My DS started watching the first batch with Tina, Lucy, Michael etc. They are adults now !

I can tell you where Min is. She's a college student and attends in CA. She should be graduating pretty soon or may have already. I keep thinking that she might pursue acting again, she's a talented dancer and performer. She's my DH's cousin, her family still lives close by. We see her every once in awhile at weddings or other family functions.

She was about 12 when she stopped doing Barney, she's very petite so never looked that old. She did one show after that, a few of the kids came back to the neighborhood came back in special.

My DH, a SAHD, has a theory that Barney plays with the kids until they get to a certain age, and then eats them.

Actually in this weeks People mag there was an article about a performing arts high school in Dallas and there was a picture of twin girls that attend there and it said they were on Barney. If my memory serves me I think there names on the show were Ashley and ..oh geez I can't remember the other name.

Also my sister gave me a video called Sing and Dance with Barney and on the tape Michael, Min, Kathy, and Tasha returned as a "suprise" for Barney. My 8 year old was so into this tape! Much more than the baby! That kid Michael must be almost 30!

I'm with you Pembo, I need to get out more! I have way too much info on this topic!

You know, for those of you who still watch Barney, does he have a new person doing his voice? He sounds different to me but I can never seem to catch the credits to compare names from new and old shows.

Again I say I need to get out more!!

DD is 7 so we are waaaayyyy past Barney.(she wont even admit she liked it at one time)
But I liked the original cast best. I just didnt like it as much when the new kids came to Barneys neighborhood.Not that it matters what I liked. DD still loved it.
Princess Dot, I think Barney does have a different voice. DD had it on recently(to make fun of it) and his voice did sound different!

Oh gosh, I loved the Barney kids! I wonder what happened to Kathy and Lucy and Tina. And Shawn, and Derek and all of them.. sadly I was 12 or 13 when the "reunion" video tape came out and I was soo excited

My dd LOVED Michael.... especially when he sang that "I like my head- how bout you? It let's me know I'm alive" But MIN was always my favorite! I thought she was the cutest!!

I know one of the girls that played on Barney is a senior at a local high school here. Her Mom works out at the gym I work at. She was on Barney only about a year or so and then got tired of it.

He's not that old!LOL A friend of mine who teaches high school math in Venice, FL saw him recently.....I don't remember if Michael is an intern at the HS (which would make him college age) or if he was a student at the HS......It was something like that, I'll have to ask him again.
