What happens to my ADRs if I cancel my resort?

Right now we are booked to stay at POR 10/13-10/20. I believe I will be eligible to make my ADRs linked to my resort confirmation number starting tomorrow.

My husband is not totally sold on POR. He's worried that it's not enough space for a family of 5. He wants to look into Bonnet Creek but hasn't started yet.

If we end up staying offsite will we lose our ressies that are made linked to POR??

We have canceled resort reservations before and had no issues with our dining ressies. I believe they are completely separate.

It shouldn't have any impact. While the system can recognize your confirm # for 180+10 booking, they aren't linked. Hence why things like CRT bookings online don't recognize if you've got DDP (i.e. why you're charged if you book online when you have a pkg w/the dining plan).

I've had to rebook multiple trips- i.e. PINs, discount offers, other changes and it's never done a thing to my ADRs.

Your ADRs and your room reservation aren't tied together.

I always book my resort and park tickets through my AAA travel agent, but I book my ADRs on my own...and I don't even always book all the ADRs at the same time.

Anyone can make ADRs, whether you are staying at Disney, staying off site, or live in Orlando. Therefore, your resort reservation is separate from your dining reservations.

That being said, I do wonder how, if at all, your reservations would be affected by switching from POR to Bonnet Creek if you were still within that +10 range. Bonnet Creek doesn't allow for the +10 benefit since it's not a WDW resort. If you do switch hotels, I'd make sure it's after the 180+10 so there's no chance for confusion.
