What happens if....

I'm hoping someone here knows the answer to my question. I've been checking for AP rates at AKL for 12/13 - 12/16 with the AP site showing no availability. However, I played with the dates and plugged in 12/13 - 12/19 and lo and behold availability opens up at the AKL.

Does anyone know what will happen if I go ahead and book for these dates and then call Disney tomorrow and cancel the nights of 17, 18, & 19? Will I still get the AP rate being quoted on the passholders site?

This same thing happened to me. I was looking for Nov 9 & 10 & nothing was coming up. When I put in for 3 nights almost everything was available. I booked over the phone & I will call in a week and change to 2 nights. In Feb I had 2 nights AP booked but had to change to 1 night & had no problem. I think alot of people who are saying they can't find rooms available with the AP rate this time maybe because of this.
