What Happens If You Miss A Priority Seating

is their a penalty??? or you just out of luck for that time frame

Just out of luck.. But I made PS's for Goofy's Kitchen for dinner the other night and I could have sworn I heard the CM that there would be a $ penalty for missing. But I don't know since they didn't take my credit card number. My phone was loosing connection when he said that, so I could be totally wrong..

But yeah, nothing happens.

They don't take your credit card info, so there is no penalty - not to worry.

Mickey Mouse comes to your house and then shames you for not going, then he beats you up something fierce.

Ok, no. But if you miss them, no big deal. If you are late, make sure you have Disney Dining in your speed-dial on your cell. You can call and say you are running late and they usually change it or try to fix it for you so you can still eat. I wouldn't expect to just show up an hour late and expect to be seated, though.

I once had them for Carnation at 8 am. The parking structure was backed up so much and they had something silly like 4 paying points open. I was 20 minutes late because of Disney! I called them from the structure and they re-arrange things and I was fine.

My family missed our PS one day and didn't call to cancel, so we made PS for the next day and the CM said "I see you missed your reservation yesterday." Ever since then, my mom makes me call or uses a fake name because she's embarrassed about it. :rotfl: That's the only penalty we've ever received!

We showed up 25 minutes late to our breakfast for Ariel's Grotto last Saturday, and when we went to check in, I told the CM we were late and she gave me a dirty look and was like "you're late". DUH!! And then she told me that they stopped serving breakfast (it was only 10:30) HUH? I don't know if that was true or she was just lying to make me feel stupid.. Who knows..

well i'd hate to make mickey mad:rotfl:

but when you book a ps a month ahead of when you go sometimes you end up at a ride or show or just not hungry. i don't plan on missing a ps but would hate to get a penalty for missing one.

That's how we are. We make them 30 days out and then that day change our mind!

I can see them adding a credit card hold on PS for the more BB & characater meals, in the future.

Well, the polite thing to do is call Disney Dining and cancel, then they know they can release your table and seat someone who's waiting without a reservation!

Just have the number in your phone -- it's very easy. I cancelled last minute one day because it rained and rained and we left the park early.

will most definetly call just didn't want to get hit with a cancelation fee. this year we will actaully be able to use the sit down resturants.

If you're worried about being late, then make the reservation for a little later than you plan to be there. They will take you earlier, but if they are booked solid, they may not take you later. If you are booking in case you want to go, but then change your mind that day and decide not to go, then call and cancel.

thats the game plan. lasttime we had 2, 2 and 8 with us now they are 4,4 and 10 so i think we will do a few more sit downs this time. last time we did mostly counter service cause it was really hard to get the 2 year olds to sit and eat
