Help please.
I have copies of DH & my dvc cards, but I can't find my actual card. I had it 4/5 but now I can't find it. I always kept it in my wallet with license. I know I had thought about putting with other dvc papers when they discountinued the dis store discounts, but it's not there either. YIKES! I am usually so organized with things like this.
We are arriving in WDW on June 24. Like I say DH has his & I have a copy of mine (ressies are under my name). Will we have any problems if I don't have mine?
I am planning on calling my guide to see if I can be issued a new one, but I'm afraid it won't arrive by our departure.
Thanks for any & all info.

call ms NOW.

Also call your guide - she might be able to get one make for you and at the desk when you check in on June 24.

I find the cards dont mean much except for carrying around in your wallet.

Call MS directly and tell them you need new cards. You might also ask them to expedite the process if possible.

You only need the card when using certain member perks. As long as DH has his card you won't have any problems.

You do not need the card to check-in so the fact that the ressies are in your name is irrelevant. Although do take your confirmation letter.

forget it. I just found it. lol Not that I panic or anything. lol

Just have to post again!!!!

!WOW I just can't believe how helpful all of you are. How quick your responses are. Thank you all sincerely! Once again you've proven the disboards are the swiftest!

I found it attached to my November ressies. I'm on the waitlist for a GV, so must have just clipped it to that ressie in case I need when/if I get a call.

Thank you all again!

You might still want to call MS and get a 2nd set of cards. That way you can have your regular cards, but keep the 2nd backup cards somewhere safe, perhaps with your main DIS papers, or other household papers.

We have additional cards we keep locked in our portable firebox, along with insurance papers, etc.

Just a thought.

glad you found it!!!

you do need it for the valet parking at the DVC resort. That is the only time I was ask to show it for the free parking for DVC members.

I asked for a new card after my early March trip, my original from 1999 was falling apart. I just got it about a week ago, it took that long. I e-mailed them in late April to see where it was because I had a trip May 7th, they said to go to the sales center at SSR to be issued a temporary one. My original was still usable, so I didn't bother. I don't think I even showed it during the trip since I had DDE for meals.

Most of the DVC member perks now state that the blue member ID must be presented in order to obtain the perk. This has been DVC's stance for about 6-12 months now. I'm sure some CMs will forget to ask, but if this is the position they are taking, the more time that passes, the more often we'll be asked to present the card.

Those wanting to purchase the discounted AP or activate a discounted AP voucher should ABSOLUTELY have their member ID with them.

Thanks Caskbill! This is a good idea. I don't want to admit to DH ever again that the organized one of us just "lost" our precious dvc card! LOL
