What happens if there is bad weather at MVMCP?

If you have a ticket for MVMCP and there is extremely bad weather, do you get admission for another night? I know it isn't likely that the weather would be THAT bad but I was just wondering what if? I have heard that in years past it has rained quite a bit. Thanks!

There were some nights in 2002 that were really bad, the parades and outdoor shows were cancelled. I believe they offered exchanges or refunds if you went to city hall.

Last year I went to MVMCP, it was the second to last event for the season. Needless to say, it rained most of the night. Being that it was the second to last event, even though it rained, they got most shows up and runnning, although delayed. I remember the second running of the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade was delayed considerably it ended around midnight which is when the park was supposed to close. However, they still had shows that were delayed in front of the castle. Even though the park was supposed to be closed, the did the show. I ended up not leaving the Magic Kingdom until well after 1am. They also did Wishes in between the rain drops. That was my experience at MVMCP in the rain.

We were there in early Dec, 2002 and it rained on our MVMCP! At first it wasn't too bad, but then it started raining kinda hard. They had cancelled all of the outdoor shows, and the parade. We had our ponchos on, but the weather was getting really cool, and I figured it wasn't worth the kids getting sick. So we left, went back to the GF and ordered room service!!!

When we got back and I was reading the Disboards, I read that a lot people had gone to City Hall and asked for refunds or tickets for another night. So, I sent my wrist bands and proof of purchase to Disney and explained that we had to leave very early because of the weather - and we had been really disappointed that a lot of the shows had been cancelled. A few days later, I got a call from a CM at Disney and she said she was sorry about what had happened at MVMCP and she said she would be happy to send us 5 one day park hoppers to use on a future visit!!!! I thanked her very much and we used these park hopper tickets on our visit in October!

I don't know if they do that all the time or if it was just that one year when the weather was really bad.
