in the middle of our existing ressie. Would we still be eligible for FD for the last half of the trip?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you would have to have two different ressies due to the fact that the DDP is part of a package.

That's true and the FD part usually has a ticket requirement that will be for the part of the trip with FD. If the FD is first, no problem just need a longer ticket, if the end the beginning of the trip won't have the ticket for the FD part. You can (at least in all past offers) get a 1 day ticket in order to qualify for free dining. Who knows if it will be the same or not (maybe lengthe of stay tickets like many of the more recent offers required).

If FD starts in the middle of the rez, then you'll have to split your stay - And might be issues with tickets as the new rez will require a one day base ticket.

If FD ends in the middle of the rez, no problem. The offer is good until the last day for check-ins and good for up to 14 days. So, if the offer is good until 9/29 for example, you can actually check in on 9/29 and have FD for another two weeks.
