What happens for fireworks dining if fireworks are cancelled?

I know that you agree to the reservation whether the fireworks happen or not (rose and crown harmonious package)… but wondering what people’s experiences have been in case the show ends up being cancelled?

Thanks!!

Fireworks have so rarely been cancelled in WDW that I'm thinking no one can answer this.
DL does have it happen but WDW just doesn't. Geography allows them to have it almost 100% of the time, where winds might prevent it in DL due to the close proximity of the city, for instance.
I've been told that once set they have to set off the fireworks. That they (pyro techs) can't go retrieve them that they must set them off so no matter how long the wait is, they have the show. No idea if that is fact or not.
I have had a few visits where they held the shows quite late due to storms, like over an hour but never had it cancelled.

Great news, thank you!

I concur! We once had the dessert party booked in MK and it was torrentially pouring rain right up to show time - fireworks went off as scheduled. Same thing happened in EP (we didn't have a party or dinner booked), but we just waited it out for about 90 minutes and the show went on (there was barely anyone there at that point - it was pretty amazing). In DL, thought, we had the fireworks canceled on us twice and it wasn't raining - I think it must have been due to the winds!

Thank goodness. Rose and crown is my husband’s favorite. Weather looks iffy for next Wednesday (I know, it’s Florida and can change quickly), but with the prepayment and 48 hour cx policy I wanted to gather some more info to help us decide what up to.

Thanks for you note!

Hoping it will work out :)

My first time to see Harmonious it was POURING!!! Like woke up to no visibility. We opted to stay at our condo all day and watched the golf course flood, the birds float up to our porch and it never let up.

It was our last night so I said "let's do it"! We put on our ponchos and were one of the only ones heading in. Park was empty. We had the entire garden next to Rose & Crown to ourselves until the last minute. Show went on even though we were soaked to the bone (and our ponchos are good ones).

Once did MNSSHP in storm, so bad they refunded everyone's tickets. But the fireworks went off and I have the best creepy photos!

PS The plus for Rose & Crown if you just have a few drinks then you broke even anyway if you had eaten there with normal ADR.

In all the 20++ 😂 years we have been going I have seen the Epcot fireworks delayed once and that was this year as there were Thuderstorms. If I recall they started 20 maybe 30 minutes or about late.

We had reservations for the R&C FW dining package last April on Easter Sunday. There were terrible thunderstorms, heavy rain & wind just after we were seated. It went on for awhile and the Fireworks were canceled. We were all getting wet under the awning with the plastic walls blowing in. There were waves in the lake/lagoon the wind was so bad. The staff tried their best with all the guests but it was awful. We left early along with other families. I contacted WDW by email once we retuned home and they refunded our money in full. It did take us 4-6 weeks to get that but I believe they were backed up with emails. We've done FWD packages before in the rain and it was a good experience. The only thing I was disappointed with (since it was such an unusual situation) was that I had to reach out to WDW. But in the end, I was very happy they refunded us. I feel confident booking another package in the future.

Ok experienced storms twice with some sort of fireworks party. One was Epcot July 4 party that was moved inside. They prolonged our party for an hour give or take to let the storms pass. Drinks flowed from the bar and food was still available and we were allowed to ride the frozen ride as much as we wanted while we waited. They walked us to our reserved spots while we were completely dry through the masses of people for our reserved front row spots to watch the show. It was beyond amazing.
The other experience was my daughter’s birthday on Oct 1 at studios for the Star Wars party. Had a great time but massive rain storms hit during party. Looking at radar I knew fireworks would not happen. Chatted with employees handing out our gifts and while we were disappointed we were of the mind set that we had a fun party and Disney doesn’t control the weather. We left the party in the storm and went to Toy Story where they let us loop the ride a couple of times without getting off (not a good thing for your arm lol). Anyway we sadly left the park passing the empty fireworks area and waited in the crazy bus line where a family found out it was her birthday and the entire line sang a boisterous happy birthday to her. Went home the next day. 2 days later got a call from a Disney employee telling us we would get a full refund. I told her no we had the party. We agreed to the terms but she insisted we get a full refund. We will never forget that very unusual birthday lol.
