I first have to say that if this is true, my heart goes out to S. Satterly (sp?) & her daughter. With that said, I admit I had a strange feeling reading her posts. I can't imagine hearing such horrible news & being able to go on line to ask for donations right away. As a RN, red flags were going off. I know of no blood test that would indicate brain cancer, without other testing such as a head CT, MRI, etc.
Also, I can't believe that a physician would give such a diagnosis over the phone... especially if the OP knew them personally as she indicated.
If this indeed was a scam, then shame on her. I am keeping her daughter in my prayers no matter what. If she is indeed diagnosed with CA, then I pray for a complete recovery/remission. If her mother was making up the story, then I pray for her in an entirely different sense.
