What happened to the Princesses?

If you want to know where you might see them someplace other than Ariel's Grotto (which has an AMAZING new menu) or the PFF then stop by City Hall and ask, or in DCA ask at Guest Services. They will help you find them there.

i was sad to hear that there is no more storytelling or coranation for the princesses. My little princess is going to be so bummed when she finds out she cant dance with them anymore.
not sure why they canceled the show tho. :confused3

For many years, the princesses would hold court in the courtyard of the castle. Each princess had her own area and Disney published the times they would be there. If you wanted to see a specific princess or even princesses, you could and it was quite easy. Then came the dark times, the PFF.

Now, with the advent of the PFF, everything is completely random. The only princess you're guaranteed to see at the DLR these days is Ariel at the character meal in DCA. Otherwise, you can see some princesses (and/or female heroines who didn't marry royalty), but you do not know who you're going to see, and may spend a whole lot more time dealing with the random nature of the PFF if you need to see one. I overheard a family that waited at the PFF 4 times trying to see Cinderella, the one princess their daughter needed to see.

When the news first came out, it was said or theorized that it was b/c they are not revenue generating events. The meet/greet can be, because kids want to get the dresses, and you might buy photopass pictures, but the other things just didn't bring in money. I continue to think it's a mistake, but I'm not their accountant, so who knows?

I'm telling you guys - 3pm in the entry plaza at the Mickey Floral is where it's at! :thumbsup2 Most folks just simply don't know about it because they are in the park having fun! The lines are really short because of that, too and there are usually 4 - 5 princesses there.
YellowMickeyPonchos, have you seen the 3pm Mickey Floral princesses recently? I haven't seen them do these meet and greets since the beginning of April. And I visit the park about twice a month. But I see that you're local too, so maybe you've had better luck than I have.

And you're absolutely right. When the Princesses are out by the Mickey Floral, it's the best way to get all their pictures and autographs with minimal wait! I just haven't seen them out there in my last three or four trips.

We've seen Drawn To the Magic at DCA by Monsters Inc ride at least 6 times and it's always been Cinderella, Mickey, and Woody. Cinderella looks like she's going to exit to the right of the stage (as you're facing it) but at the last moment she exits to the left so we always sit on the left towards the front :)
We finally caught Jasmine (no Aladdin tho) in her area next to Jungle Cruise.
Lined up 20 min early for the Princess Fantasy Faire and only had to wait 20 additional min for our turn with the princesses--the line was back to Small World by the time it actually opened at 9! Lucked out with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White! In all our trips we had never seen Snow White. We saw her exit into the coronation area castle right after our visit and Ariel took her place--very short visiting time for Snow White!
