What happened to the July Car Rental Prices!

I just checked Alamo and Dollar for my car rental in July and the prices have sky rocketed! What the heck is going on? They should be going down not up!

Same with our August and Dec rentals. Dec I expected since it is over NYE. I booked both on January 2nd and have checked once a week since then and have not seen anything lower, everything is higher priced
