On my last trip in January, it was no longer served. The waitress said she BELIEVED it was being served at the Spirit Of Aloha show. Can anyone cofirm or deny this?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I loved that bread, so I'm anxious to hear if it's still being served either at Spirit of Aloha or elsewhere. Hopefully someone will be able to tell us.

We missed it at Ohana at dinner in November, but they had it at the Lilo & Stich breakfast. I made a pig of myself and asked for seconds.

Do you mean the pineapple bread? If so it was at the breakfast and it ROCKS! I took seconds with me. They should have it and if not, ask.

OK, that settles it. We were already talking about having breakfast at 'Ohana. Now that I know they have that yummy bread, it's definitely on the list for next trip. :goodvibes

No pineapple bread is just one more reason why I do not care for the changes at the 'Ohana dinner

I loved that bread! They serve it every morning at the Poly concierge. I was the only one in my family who liked it-- I don't understand why. It's so yummy! :thumbsup2

We did the Spirit of Aloha show and it was a different bread from the sweet pineapple bread.

If you're talking about the Banana Bread that they used to serve at dinner, that is gone. Part of the reason that it was sooo good, was that they made it there every day! Now they have a Pineapple Coconut Bread that they get in already made, it's already baked and frozen and then just gets reheated for service. It's not bad, but not nearly as good as the old bread!

Pineapple bread at breakfast today :thumbsup2 !

I remember watching this special about Ohana on some Disney show a few years back, and they were commenting on how the bread had been served there since the place opened. I was so upset to hear it was gone last time we were there.

I don't understand some of the things Disney does. Why get rid of something that obviously, people liked? Sort of like the Bedtime Stories at the Resorts.

Pineapple bread at breakfast was put into a cloth napkin this year (instead of a plate) and it stuck to the napkin and was gross. So disappointed. Have had it served on plate all other times and this year it was a sticky mess and most of it was left on the cloth. That's no way to serve it.

Probably because 1) what they're serving now is cheaper and 2) popularity of the restaurant isn't affected because they're still packing 'em in for dinner.

I don't think they are referring to the bread pudding for dessert. That was there in December and it part of the new menu. Is that what you mean? This is getting confusing. :teeth:

They still have the Banana Bread Pudding. Until just a year or so (a little longer I think) the bread service was a loaf of banana bread that was made in house. It wasn't the traditional banana bread, more like King's Hawaiian Bread, but not as sweet and with a banana flavor. Now they buy in Pineapple Coconut Bread that is already baked and just needs warmed up.

I don't know. When I was there in January, it was anything but packed.

I made ressies for my upcoming July trip, but I think I'm gonna cancel them. Ohana has some of the best atmosphere in all of Disney, but it's lost alot of the appeal to me with the bread gone. Like Outback Steakhouse - They'd still be crowded without their bread, but they know people love it. Why fix something that isn't broken?
