I thought the swings inside the Orange Stinger were supposed to be shaped like bees? The Disney magazine shows a picture of them and I has also read about it on the net somewhere. And I thought there was supposed to be an orange scent as well? Does anyone know what happened with this ride? Also, why is the zephyr ride in Paradise Pier closed? The sign said closed due to high winds but the cars were not even attached to the ride and there was no wind??? Anyone know about this?? Thanks!

I don't know about the shape of the swings on the Orange Stinger. When I went on it I thought I could smell the orange scent you are talking about, can anyone else confirm that it really does have an orange scent? Regarding the zephyr, it is normally closed even when you think that there is no wind, because the wind restrictions are so tight. (Closed when the wind reaches 5MPH I have heard.) Right now, however, I was told it is closed for another rehab, this is according to the DIG on mouseplanet.com.

I remember too some pics of "bee swings" it the pre park stuff, but they are just swings. They are a little more intimidating than they look, especially if you get an outside one. There is a orange smell just like on Soarin!Love it!Also buzzing sounds.

I could smell the orange smell too, and the buzzing is great!! Disney took a classic ride and made it totally unique!!!
I saw the bee swings in the Disney magazine and I was curious about them myself....who knows!!!

It's very subtle in Soarin', but when you fly over the river in the forest area, you get the scent of pine; when you fly over the orange orchards you get the scent of orange; and I sort of thought there was an "ocean" smell when you fly over the ocean, but that may have just been my imagination. :)

And yes, I smelled the orange smell on the Orange Stinger too. :)
