He was on our news last night...just caught the end of it, but they showed his face...guess once he hit that amount of $ he wasn't too worried about the kidding from his friends. He was a pretty nice looking guy, full beard...so I bet he's going to get a lot more offers for other than his ex's dress! He said he has rec'd an unbelievable amount of e-mails. Good for him!

honestly - some people WILL pay $3800 for a wedding gown.

dunno why really...but some women will. I hope he gets his $$...he deserves it! hehehe

Actaully it as a guy who won the auction. But he changed the auction for people that were "serious bidders." At one point it was up to 15k but he took out all the people that were not serious about buying the dress.

My DH was falling out of his chair, crying, he was laughing so hard. That and the message in the bottle have got to be some of the more interesting things I have seen on Ebay.

I was just reading the auction again last night. The guy said he had received 5 marriage proposals, one stated she didnt really want to be married, she wanted to be his x, lol. The guy has a great sense of humor. He stated he is getting a website up.

There were A LOT of bid retractions, so I imagine that he really will get the $3850.

I agree this was hysterical, and realize the guy got some media hype - but what MORON would pay $3850 for a used dress that cost $1200 brand new??? It's not like being on this auction is going to make it a collector's item - the hype will die down quickly, the guy's (and the dress') fifteen minutes of fame will be over, and the buyer will be left with a used $1200 dress that they paid $3850 for!!
