What happened to Flo's?

We had the beef and cheddar sandwiches today and I thought it was pretty good. Cole slaw wasn't bad either. :confused3

Flo's blows.

Fun to look at, but I won't eat there again.

:)
That cracks me up! Lol!
I had dined there before the menu change and I liked it. but again that was before the menu change. The new menu really doesn't sound too enticing, honestly.

We heard so many good things about Flo's and I talked it up really big to my family before our September trip. Needless to say, we were more than a little disappointed when we ate there. :/

The only thing good to eat at Flo's is the french Toast at breakfast. But its more like a desert then a breakfast food. Other than that, the place is awful. That's why when you walk around that area you'll see that nobody's there a lot of the time.

Disney needs to do something about it. Its prime real estate but saddled with awful food.

Has anyone tried the new ribs at Flos?

We had the ribs in September. Would that have been the new ones? I was surprised to see how empty Flo's was based on how popular it seemed to be on the DIS.

We LOVED our ribs! Mum and I shared a serving the first time we went there. We enjoyed them so much that we decided to make it our last family meal at DLR and ordered a serving each. I don't like coleslaw so can't comment on that, but the ribs and mashed potato were amazing!

However, we're from Australia, where BBQ ribs are in short supply, so maybe we were a little biased. We didn't have ribs anywhere else in the US to compare.

As a fellow Aussie, I totally understand this!

Ok cool I can look forward to eating them then. The first time I really had ribs that I liked was at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ the last time we were there and then a few times when I've eaten them at Montanas in Canada when visiting my dad! Omg those ribs were sensational.

I've tried so many places back in Aus ( and my sister has tried making them ) but nothing compares. I really think that it's maybe the cut of meat we get here.

I ate there a few weeks ago and loved the turkey dip. The roll it came on was fresh, the turkey was moist, the gravy had good flavor, and the pasta on the side was great. Maybe I got lucky.

Ironically the Fortune Cookery is my must do quick service at DCA and I had a terrible meal there. They added teriyaki beef to the menu so I gave it a try and it was terrible, all chewy and fatty, I'll stick to the teriyaki chicken from now on.

GatorChris did you enjoy anything about your trip? Everything I have seen you post is negative.

I ate at Flos last week had the turkey dip and the chicken both were fantastic what made us eat there my mum had it a few nights before and smelled so yummy so we made a point in going there after that

No complaints at all about the food from Flos

Do they still have the apple-cheddar pie? I had that when it first opened and loved it. Best thing, my wife and boys are chocolate lovers and thought cheese and apples together was weird. :confused3

Oh well, had to eat it all myself. :thumbsup2

Yawn.

With 11K posts, I guess it's probable that you missed ALL of my posts. Most of them were positive. Some were negative. Here's some good ones so that you don't get the wrong impression.

Sure, I have some negative things that I thought were worth talking about on a "Disney" board. I don't drink the KoolAid that everything DL does is perfect. Nothing changes when we all wear tie-die shirts and sing 5th Dimension songs together.

Here you go with the hyperbole again. Almost everything you post about Disneyland here and on Mouseplanet is negative. You only started making those "positive" posts after several posters pointed out your negativity in your fireworks thread. And 3 of your 5 posts above contain complaints. I'll be the first person to say that not everything at Disneyland is perfect or "the best," but for months you posted about dreading your trip because it wasn't going to be as good as Florida and outright complaining that you bought APs. What kind of reaction do you expect from people on a Disneyland board? Most people are here for help with trip planning or to offer advice. Constantly putting down the parks and saying they're not good enough because you'd rather be in Florida doesn't really help anyone with trip planning.

I've never had it has a pie. But I eat cheese & apple together as a snack all the time.

When I was a kid it was an option on the menu at Apple Pan, and my grandma would always get it that way. It doesn't seem as popular now. The key is, you don't get it with ice cream or whipped cream, just the cheddar.

I had the ribs this past weekend. I thought they were good, but really messy! I substituted the coleslaw for roasted veggies, a little undercooked but I'm sure they were better than the slaw.

DH had the rotisserie chicken and thought it was better than the similar dish he had the night before at French Market. He also had the chocolate milkshake and said it was awewome!

DS6 had the kids mac 'n cheese and didn't like it. I didn't try it.

I don't read every post, so yes I did miss those more positive posts. It just seemed that everything I read was negative. So I am glad that you did find things that you did like.

Yes, still there. At least when I was there in October. I am not sure if it was "today's special" seeing I had heard it had been removed from the menu though.

Last year we tried the chocolate one and the apple cheddar one and while apple/cheddar isn't a combination you'd get here in Germany the apple/cheddar one won us over instantly. We liked it much better than the chocolate one.
