What happened on Main Street?

Just got back Saturday and I noticed a Disney landmark was missing. The Indian on Main Street. I had my pic made with him as a child and wanted one of my daughter made with him, and one of myself to do a side by side.
I asked a CM, she was so sweet, and she couldn't believe it was gone either, had no idea what they had done with him. Anyone know?

I think the Indian is in Frontier Land?? - close to the Country Bears show. I have a picture of my son by him from 2003. You can click on the link to see if this is the Indian.

Interesting. I thought it was in Frontierland too. Now at Disneyland that same basic Indian statue is on Main Street. I love taking pictures of my kids next to both the Indian and the baseball player at Casey's to see how they grow from trip to trip. Maybe the Indian moves to different lands from time to time?

I remember it being on Main Street as well. I had my picture taken with him on my very first trip there. I hadn't paid much attention to it since.

I'll have to pull out my pictures to make sure it was on Main Street and that I am not just remembering wrong.

I remember the indian being on Main Street... but I didn't realize he was missing until I just read your post. I guess I was too distracted by the Christmas decorations. I hope he returns soon.

I remember him on Main Street too...I think I remember him there from our Sept./Oct. trip.

He was in the same spot in October too. I have pics of my kids with him too

They have been working on replacing the concrete on the sidewalk and street. He was moved a little while ago when the sidewalk was a big plank of wood. I'm sure he will be back.
